  • Handling: Always pull from the connector ends, not the cable itself, when plugging or unplugging. Avoid excessive force when extending or retracting the cable.

6. Troubleshooting

6.1 Device Not Charging

  • Check Power Source: Ensure the power adapter is functioning correctly and provides sufficient power for your device.
  • Verify Connections: Make sure both ends of the cable are securely connected to the power source and the device.
  • Cable Integrity: Inspect the cable for any visible damage. If damaged, discontinue use.
  • Device Compatibility: Confirm that your device supports charging via USB Type-C and Power Delivery.

6.2 Data Transfer Issues

  • Check Device Settings: Ensure both connected devices are configured to allow data transfer.
  • Port Functionality: Test the USB Type-C ports on your devices with another known-good cable to rule out port issues.
  • Cable Integrity: As with charging, inspect the cable for damage.

6.3 Retraction Mechanism Malfunction

  • Even Pull: Ensure you are pulling both ends of the cable simultaneously and evenly when extending or retracting. Uneven force can cause jamming.
  • Obstructions: Check for any foreign objects or debris that might be obstructing the retraction mechanism.
