Assembly Instructions

Tools required: Phillips head screwdriver (not included), Allen key (included).

1. Unpack and Identify Parts: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Lay them out on a clean, soft surface. Compare each part to the parts list in the included assembly diagram to ensure everything is present.
2. Assemble the Bed Frame: Attach the side rails to the headboard and footboard using the provided bolts and washers. Ensure all connections are secure but do not fully tighten until the frame is complete.
3. Install the Storage Base: Place the base panels for the storage compartment into the designated slots within the bed frame. These panels form the bottom of the storage area.
4. Attach the Slatted Base and Lifting Mechanism: Secure the slatted base frame to the bed frame using the provided hardware. Attach the gas lift mechanism according to the detailed diagram in your separate assembly guide. Ensure the mechanism operates smoothly before proceeding.
5. Final Tightening: Once all components are in place and aligned, fully tighten all screws and bolts. Do not overtighten.

Operating the Storage Bed

The sweeek Avalon storage bed features a convenient gas lift mechanism for easy access to the under-bed storage compartment.

• To Open: Remove the mattress from the bed. Grasp the fabric handle located at the foot end of the slatted base. Gently lift the base upwards. The gas lift mechanism will assist in raising and holding the base in the open position.
• To Close: Grasp the fabric handle and gently pull the slatted base downwards. Apply slight pressure to overcome the gas lift resistance until the base fully lowers and rests securely on the bed frame.
• Safety Precaution: Always remove the mattress before opening the storage compartment. Do not place hands or objects in the mechanism while opening or closing. Ensure the base is fully closed before placing the mattress back on the bed.

Care and Maintenance

• Fabric Care: For general cleaning, gently vacuum the fabric upholstery with a soft brush attachment. For spills, blot immediately with a clean, dry cloth. Do not rub. For stubborn stains, consult a professional upholstery cleaner.
• Frame Care: Wipe the bed frame with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, as these can damage the finish.
• Regular Checks: Periodically check all bolts and screws to ensure they are tight. Retighten if necessary to maintain stability and prevent squeaking.
• Ventilation: The slatted base provides optimal ventilation for your mattress. Ensure the storage compartment is not overfilled to allow for air circulation.
