5. Maintenance

  • Battery Monitoring: The Smart Life app will notify you when sensor batteries are low. Replace batteries promptly to ensure continuous protection. The main alarm host has an internal Lithium Ion battery with approximately 8 hours of life during a power outage.

  • Firmware Updates: Check the Smart Life app periodically for any available firmware updates for the alarm system to ensure optimal performance and security features.

6. Troubleshooting

  • System Not Connecting to WiFi: Ensure your WiFi network is 2.4GHz, as the system does not support 5G. Verify the WiFi password and signal strength. Try restarting your router and the alarm host.
  • Sensors Not Triggering Alarm: Check if the sensors are properly paired with the alarm host via the Smart Life app. Ensure the sensor components are correctly aligned (for door/window sensors) or have a clear detection path (for motion detectors). Verify sensor battery levels.
  • No App Notifications: Confirm that the Smart Life app has notification permissions enabled on your smartphone. Check your phone's internet connection.
  • Alarm Too Quiet/Loud: Adjust the siren volume settings through the Alarm Host interface or the Smart Life app.
  • False Alarms: Ensure motion detectors are not placed near heat sources, air vents, or areas where pets might trigger them. Adjust sensitivity settings if available.
