Operating Instructions
1. Timekeeping Mode
In normal timekeeping mode, the watch displays the current hour, minute, second, and date. The main hands indicate the current time, while the date window shows the day of the month.
2. Chronograph Function
The chronograph measures elapsed time with 1-second accuracy, up to 59 minutes and 59 seconds.
- Starting a Measurement: Press the upper button (A) to start the chronograph.
- Stopping a Measurement: Press the upper button (A) again to stop the chronograph.
- Resetting the Chronograph: While the chronograph is stopped, press the lower button (B) to reset the chronograph hands to the 12 o'clock position.
3. Water Resistance (100M / 10 ATM)
Your watch is designed to withstand water pressure up to 100 meters. This means it is suitable for everyday use, showering, swimming, and snorkeling. Do not operate the crown or buttons while the watch is wet or submerged in water. Avoid exposing the watch to hot water or steam, as this can compromise the water resistance seals.
Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe the watch case and band periodically with a soft, dry cloth to remove dirt and moisture. For stainless steel bands, a mild soap solution and a soft brush can be used, followed by thorough rinsing and drying.
- Temperature Exposure: Avoid exposing the watch to extreme temperatures (hot or cold) or sudden temperature changes.
- Chemicals: Keep the watch away from solvents, detergents, perfumes, and cosmetics, as these can damage the case, band, or seals.
- Impact: Protect the watch from strong impacts or shocks.
- Power Source: While not explicitly stated as solar, some Casio Edifice models are solar-powered. If your model is solar, ensure it receives regular exposure to light to maintain its charge. If it is battery-powered, replace the battery promptly when it runs low to prevent leakage.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
