5. Setup and Installation

5.1 Mounting

The DJXFLI 150W LED Moving Head Stage Light is designed for versatile mounting options, including ceiling, walls, floor, and desk. It comes with a bow mount and two screws for secure installation. Ensure the mounting surface can support the fixture's weight (approximately 9.86 pounds or 4.47 kg).

  • For overhead installations, use appropriate clamps and safety cables (not included) to secure the fixture to a truss or pipe.
  • When mounting, ensure there is sufficient space for the head to pan (540°) and tilt (180°) without obstruction.
  • Maintain a safe distance from performers and audience members.

5.2 Connections

Connect the power cable to a suitable AC power source (110-240V, 50/60Hz). For DMX control, connect a DMX cable from your DMX controller to the DMX IN port on the fixture. If linking multiple fixtures, connect the DMX OUT of the first fixture to the DMX IN of the next, and so on.

6. Operating Instructions

The fixture can be operated using four main control modes:

6.1 Control Panel

The unit features a 4-button LED display for menu navigation and setting adjustments. Use the 'MENU', 'UP', 'DOWN', and 'ENTER' buttons to select and confirm settings. Press 'ENTER' twice to save memory after selecting a mode.

6.2 DMX Control (19 Channels)

For advanced control, connect the fixture to a DMX512 controller. Refer to the DMX channel chart (typically provided in a separate DMX manual or appendix) for specific channel functions, including pan, tilt, color, gobo, strobe, dimmer, and effect control.

6.3 Auto Mode

In Auto mode, the fixture runs through pre-programmed light shows automatically. This mode is suitable for quick setup without external control.

6.4 Sound Activated Mode

The Sound Activated mode allows the light to react to music or ambient sound through its built-in microphone. The light patterns and movements will synchronize with the beat.

6.5 Master/Slave Mode

To synchronize multiple fixtures without a DMX controller, set one unit as the Master and others as Slaves. Connect the DMX OUT of the Master unit to the DMX IN of the first Slave, and continue the chain. The Slave units will mirror the Master's operations.

7. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Regularly clean the lenses and exterior casing with a soft, lint-free cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Cooling System: Ensure the cooling fan and vents are free from dust and debris to maintain optimal performance and extend the lifespan of the LEDs. The internal temperature-controlled cooling system helps reduce temperature.
  • Inspection: Periodically check all cables, connections, and mounting hardware for signs of wear or damage. Replace any damaged components immediately.
  • Storage: When not in use, store the fixture in a dry, dust-free environment.

8. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your DJXFLI 150W LED Moving Head Stage Light, refer to the following common troubleshooting steps:

  • No Power:
    • Check if the power cable is securely connected to both the fixture and the power outlet.
    • Verify that the power outlet is functional.
  • No Light Output:
    • Ensure the fixture is receiving power and the display is active.
    • Check the dimmer settings; it might be set to 0%.
    • If using DMX, verify DMX signal integrity and correct channel settings.
  • Incorrect Movement/Effects:
    • In DMX mode, confirm that the DMX address and channel values are correctly set on your controller and the fixture.
    • In Master/Slave mode, ensure one unit is set as Master and others as Slave, and DMX cables are correctly connected.
    • If in Auto or Sound Activated mode, ensure the correct mode is selected on the control panel.
  • Overheating:
    • Ensure adequate ventilation around the fixture.
    • Clean any dust or obstructions from the cooling fan and vents.
    • Do not operate in environments exceeding specified temperature limits.

If problems persist, contact customer support for assistance.
