3. Setup
Before first use, follow these steps:

4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Basic Toasting
- Plug the toaster into a suitable power outlet.
- Place one or two slices of bread into the toasting slots. The automatic bread centering feature will position the bread for even browning.
- Select your desired browning level using the browning control (settings 1-9). Setting 1 is for light toasting, 9 for very dark. Start with a medium setting (e.g., 3-5) and adjust according to preference.
- Press the power lever down until it locks. The toasting process will begin, and the indicator light will illuminate.
- Once the selected browning level is reached, the toast will automatically pop up, and the appliance will switch off.
- Use the high lift function (by pushing the lever further up) to easily retrieve smaller slices of bread.

4.2 Defrosting Frozen Bread
To toast frozen bread:
- Place frozen bread into the toasting slots.
- Select your desired browning level.
- Press the power lever down, then press the Defrost button. The defrost indicator light will illuminate. The toaster will automatically adjust the toasting time to account for defrosting.
- The toast will pop up when ready.

4.3 Reheating Cold Toast
To warm up already toasted bread without further browning:
- Place the cold toast into the toasting slots.
- Press the power lever down, then press the Reheat button (if available, otherwise use a very low browning setting like 1). The reheat indicator light will illuminate.
- The toast will pop up after a short reheating cycle.
4.4 Using the Bun Warmer Rack
The integrated bun warmer rack is ideal for warming croissants, rolls, or pastries.
- Gently push the bun warmer rack upwards until it locks into position.
- Place the items to be warmed on the rack.
- Select a low browning setting (e.g., 1-2).
- Press the power lever down.
- Monitor the warming process closely to prevent burning. Press the Stop button if items are warmed to your satisfaction.
- After use, push the bun warmer rack back down for storage.


4.5 Stopping the Toasting Process
To stop toasting at any time, press the Stop button. The toast will pop up immediately.
5. Maintenance and Cleaning
Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your toaster.
- Before Cleaning: Always unplug the toaster from the power outlet and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
- Exterior Cleaning: Wipe the exterior surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads, as these can damage the finish.
- Crumb Tray: Pull out the crumb tray from the bottom of the toaster. Empty crumbs into a waste bin. Wipe the tray clean with a damp cloth and dry thoroughly before reinserting. Ensure the crumb tray is fully inserted before using the toaster again.
