4. Setup Guide

4.1 Initial Setup (4 Steps)

1. Step 1: Connect to Power Supply. Plug the camera into a power outlet using the provided power adapter. The camera will power on and indicate readiness for pairing.
2. Step 2: Download and Pair with the Hugolog App. Search for "Hugolog Connect" or "Hugolog" in your mobile app store (App Store for iOS or Google Play Store for Android). Download and install the app. Create an account or log in.
3. Step 3: Bluetooth Pairing. Follow the in-app instructions to add your new device. The app will guide you through the Bluetooth pairing process to discover the camera.
4. Step 4: Connect to 2.4GHz Wi-Fi. Once paired via Bluetooth, the app will prompt you to connect the camera to your home's 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network. Enter your Wi-Fi password carefully. Ensure your mobile device is also connected to the same 2.4GHz network during this step.

4.2 Installation Methods

The Hugolog camera offers flexible installation options to suit various environments.

• Tabletop/Shelf Mount: Simply place the camera on a flat surface.
• Wall Mount: Use the included mounting bracket, screws, and anchors to secure the camera to a wall.
• Ceiling Mount: The camera can also be inverted and mounted to a ceiling using the bracket.

Wall Mount Instructions:

1. Attach Perforated Fixing Patch: Choose your desired mounting location and attach the fixing patch to mark drill points.
2. Fix the Bracket with Screws: Drill holes at the marked points, insert wall anchors (if necessary), and secure the mounting bracket using the provided screws.
3. Snap Camera into Bracket: Align the camera with the mounted bracket and snap it securely into place.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Live View and Playback

Access live video feeds and review recorded footage through the Hugolog mobile application.

• Open the Hugolog app and select your camera from the device list to view the live feed.
• Use the playback function to access recorded events based on your storage settings (cloud or SD card).

5.2 Motion Detection and Alerts

• Enable motion detection in the app settings.
