4. Setup

4.1 Charging Dock Placement

1. Place the charging dock against a wall in an open, uncluttered area.
2. Ensure there is at least 1 meter (3 feet) of clear space on both sides of the dock and 2 meters (6 feet) in front.
3. Plug the power adapter into the charging dock and then into a wall outlet.

4.2 Initial Charging

Place the robot onto the charging dock, ensuring the charging contacts align. The indicator light on the robot will show charging status. Fully charge the robot before first use (approximately 5-6 hours).

4.3 Installing Side Brushes

Press the side brushes onto the square posts at the bottom of the robot until they click into place.

4.4 App Connection (Tuya Smart App)

1. Download the 'Tuya Smart' app from your mobile app store.
2. Register or log in to your account.
3. Follow the in-app instructions to add your TECBOT robot vacuum cleaner. This typically involves putting the robot into pairing mode (refer to the robot's indicator lights for status) and connecting to your home Wi-Fi network.

5. Operating the Robot Vacuum

5.1 Powering On/Off

• Power On: Press and hold the power button on the robot for a few seconds until the indicator light turns on.
• Power Off: Press and hold the power button until the indicator light turns off.

5.2 Cleaning Modes

The robot offers multiple cleaning modes to suit different needs. These can be selected via the remote control or the Tuya Smart App.

• Auto Cleaning: The robot intelligently navigates and cleans the entire floor area.
• Spot Cleaning: The robot cleans a specific area in a spiral pattern, ideal for concentrated dirt.
• Edge Cleaning: The robot cleans along walls and furniture edges.
• Zigzag Cleaning: The robot cleans in a systematic zigzag pattern for efficient coverage.

5.3 Mopping Function

To use the mopping function, replace the dustbin with the water tank module.

1. Remove the dustbin from the robot.
2. Open the water tank plug and fill the tank with clean water.
3. Wet the mop cloth completely and attach it to the mop board.
4. Install the mop board onto the water tank.
5. Insert the filled water tank with the attached mop board into the robot.
6. Start a cleaning cycle. The robot will now vacuum and mop simultaneously.

5.4 Scheduled Cleaning

You can schedule cleaning times using the Tuya Smart App.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your robot vacuum.

6.1 Emptying the Dustbin

Empty the dustbin after each cleaning cycle or when full. Press the release button to remove the dustbin, open its lid, and discard debris.

6.2 Cleaning the Filter

The HEPA filter should be cleaned weekly. Tap it gently to remove dust or use the cleaning tool. Replace the filter every 3-6 months for best performance.

6.3 Cleaning Side Brushes and Main Brushroll

Remove tangled hair or debris from the side brushes and main brushroll regularly using the provided cleaning tool. Replace worn brushes as needed.

6.4 Cleaning Sensors

Wipe the cliff sensors and charging contacts on the robot and charging dock with a clean, dry cloth monthly to ensure proper function.

6.5 Cleaning the Water Tank and Mop Cloth

After mopping, empty any remaining water from the tank and allow it to air dry. Wash the mop cloth by hand or machine and let it dry completely before reuse.
