4. Setup
4.1 Powering the Timer
The DOOMAY Digital Visual Timer offers two power options:
- Battery Power:
- Open the battery compartment cover on the back of the timer.
- Insert 3 AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
- Close the battery compartment cover.
- USB-C Power:
- Connect the provided USB-C cable to the USB-C input port on the back of the timer.
- Connect the other end of the USB-C cable to a 5V USB power adapter (not included) or a compatible USB port.
- When powered by USB, the timer will prioritize USB power and will not charge the batteries.
Important: After installing batteries or connecting USB-C power, ensure the rear switch is set to the "ON" position for proper operation.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Countdown Mode
To set a countdown timer:
- Press the Minute button to set the desired minutes (up to 99 minutes).
- Press the Second button to set the desired seconds (up to 59 seconds).
- Press the Start/Stop (►►) button to begin the countdown.
- To pause the countdown, press the Start/Stop (►►) button again. Press it once more to resume.
- When the countdown reaches 00:00, the alarm will sound.
- To stop the alarm, press any button.
- To reset the timer to 00:00, press the Reset button.
Tip: Long-press the Minute or Second button for 2-3 seconds to fast-forward the time adjustment.
5.2 Count-Up Mode (Stopwatch)
To use the count-up timer:
- Ensure the timer display is at 00:00. If not, press the Reset button.
- Press the Start/Stop (►►) button to begin counting up.
- The timer will count up to 99 minutes and 59 seconds.
- To pause the count-up, press the Start/Stop (►►) button again. Press it once more to resume.
- To reset the timer to 00:00, press the Reset button.

5.3 Custom Mode (Memory Function)
The Custom button allows you to save and quickly recall a frequently used countdown setting.
- Set your desired countdown time using the Minute and Second buttons.
- Long-press the Custom button for approximately 4 seconds until you hear a confirmation sound. The setting is now saved.
- To recall and start this saved custom time, simply press the Custom button once. The timer will immediately start counting down from your preset time.
5.4 Adjusting Brightness
The timer features 3 levels of display brightness.
- Press the Brightness (☀) button repeatedly to cycle through Low, Medium, and High brightness settings.
5.5 Adjusting Alarm Volume and Tone
The timer offers 4 alarm tones and 4 volume levels (including mute).
- Press the Music/Tone (♫) button repeatedly to cycle through the 4 distinct alarm tones (3 melodic tones + classic beep).
- Press the Volume (🔊) button repeatedly to cycle through the 4 volume levels (L00: Mute, L01: 60dB, L02: 70dB, L03: 85dB).

5.6 Child Lock Function
To prevent accidental button presses, engage the Child Lock.
- Locate the ON/OFF/Child Lock switch on the back of the timer.
- Slide the switch to the "LOCK" position to disable all front panel buttons.
- Slide the switch back to the "ON" position to re-enable button functionality.
