2. Setup
2.1 Package Contents
Ensure all items are present in your package:

2.2 Charging the Radios
The B3B walkie talkies feature a built-in 1620mAh battery and a USB-C charging port for convenience.
- Locate the USB-C charging port on the side of the walkie talkie, usually protected by a rubber flap.
- Connect the provided USB-C charging cable to the port.
- Plug the other end of the USB-C cable into the adapter, a power bank, PC, or car charger.
- The charging indicator light will illuminate (typically red) during charging and change color (typically green) when fully charged.

2.3 Attaching the Belt Clip
To attach the belt clip:
- Align the belt clip with the grooves on the back of the walkie talkie.
- Slide the belt clip downwards until it clicks securely into place.
To remove the belt clip:
- Push the upper lock of the belt clip outward.
- Push the left thumb against the bottom of the belt clip and gently push upwards to remove it.
2.4 Connecting an Earpiece (Optional)
If using an earpiece (not included with this specific variant), connect it to the dedicated audio port on the side of the radio, usually located next to the USB-C port and covered by a rubber flap.
3. Operating Instructions
3.1 Power On/Off and Volume Adjustment
To power on or off the walkie talkie, rotate the power/volume knob located at the top of the device. Continue rotating the knob to adjust the volume level.
3.2 Channel Selection
The Retevis B3B has 16 channels. To change channels, use the UP and DOWN buttons on the front of the walkie talkie. Ensure all radios intended for communication are set to the same channel.
3.3 Push-to-Talk (PTT)
To transmit your voice, press and hold the large PTT button located on the side of the walkie talkie. Speak clearly into the microphone. Release the PTT button to listen for incoming transmissions.
3.4 VOX Function (Hands-Free Communication)
The VOX (Voice Operated Exchange) function allows you to transmit without manually pressing the PTT button. When activated, the radio will automatically transmit when it detects your voice.

3.5 Key Lock Function
To prevent accidental channel changes or function activation, you can enable the key lock function. Long press the 'DOWN' button on the front of the radio to activate or deactivate this feature.

3.7 Squelch Adjustment
Squelch helps to suppress weak signals or background noise. The B3B offers 1-7 squelch levels. To adjust, short press the MENU button twice continuously. The voice prompt will announce 'squelch', allowing you to enter the adjustment mode.
