4. Setup and Installation
4.1 Battery Installation
The remote control requires two (2) AAA batteries (not included). To install the batteries:
- Locate the battery compartment on the back of the remote control.
- Slide open the battery cover.
- Insert two AAA batteries, ensuring the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals align correctly with the markings inside the compartment.
- Close the battery cover securely.
The infrared (IR) function of the remote will work immediately after battery installation without any further setup.
4.2 Bluetooth Pairing for Voice Control
To enable voice control and full functionality, you need to pair the remote control with your Hisense Google TV via Bluetooth. Follow these steps:
- Ensure your TV is turned on and connected to the internet.
- On your TV, navigate to "Settings", then select "Remotes & accessories".
- Press and hold the Back button (arrow pointing left) and the Home button (house icon) on the remote control simultaneously. Keep holding them until you see "Smart RC" appear on the TV screen, indicating it's searching for accessories. Do not point the remote control at your TV during this process.
- Once "Smart RC" appears, select it on your TV screen. It will show "pairing now".
- The remote will connect automatically and show "Paired". After successful pairing, press the voice control button (Google Assistant icon) to test it. If it works, your voice control is ready.
- If pairing fails, please repeat steps 1-5.

5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Basic Navigation (IR Function)
Once batteries are installed, the remote's basic functions (channel, volume, power, navigation) will work via infrared (IR) without pairing. Simply point the remote towards your TV.
5.2 Voice Control (Bluetooth Function)
After successfully pairing the remote via Bluetooth (as described in Section 4.2), you can use the voice control feature:
- Press the Google Assistant button (microphone icon) on the remote.
- Speak clearly into the remote's microphone. You can ask to launch apps, search for content, control playback, and more.
- Examples: "Launch YouTube and Play Taylor Swift!", "Find NFL, MLB highlights on YouTube", "Play One Day from Netflix".

5.3 Hot-Key Usage
The remote features dedicated hot-keys for instant access to popular streaming applications. Simply press the desired button to launch the corresponding app:

6. Troubleshooting
- Remote not responding (IR):
- Ensure batteries are correctly installed and not depleted. Replace if necessary.
- Check for any obstructions between the remote and the TV's IR receiver.
- Voice control not working:
- Verify that the remote is successfully paired via Bluetooth (refer to Section 4.2).
- Ensure your TV's Bluetooth is enabled.
- Confirm your TV is connected to the internet for voice command processing.
- Try re-pairing the remote if the connection is unstable.
- Hot-keys not launching apps:
- Ensure the remote is paired via Bluetooth.
- Verify that the respective streaming applications are installed and updated on your TV.
- Check your TV's internet connection.
- Remote feels sluggish or unresponsive:
- Replace batteries with fresh ones.
- Ensure no other Bluetooth devices are causing interference.
