Setup

Powering the Device

The CR-4 can be powered by either AC electricity or batteries.

Inserting a Cassette Tape

  1. Press the 'STOP/EJECT' button to open the cassette deck door.
  2. Insert a cassette tape with the open edge facing upwards and the tape side facing you.
  3. Gently close the cassette deck door until it clicks shut.

Operating Instructions

Cassette Playback

  1. Ensure a cassette tape is properly inserted.
  2. Press the 'PLAY' button to begin playback.
  3. Adjust the volume using the volume knob on the side of the unit.
  4. Use the 'FF' (Fast Forward) and 'REW' (Rewind) buttons to navigate the tape.
  5. Press 'STOP' to halt playback.

Cassette Recording

Recording from Built-in Microphone

  1. Insert a blank cassette tape.
  2. Press the 'RECORD' button (this will also engage 'PLAY' simultaneously).
  3. Speak clearly into the built-in microphone located on the unit.
  4. Press 'STOP' to end the recording.

Recording from Radio

  1. Insert a blank cassette tape.
  2. Switch the function selector to 'RADIO' and tune to your desired AM/FM station.
  3. Press the 'RECORD' button to begin recording the radio broadcast to tape.
  4. Press 'STOP' to end the recording.

Recording from USB/MP3 to Tape

  1. Insert a blank cassette tape.
  2. Insert a USB drive or TF card with MP3/WMA audio files into the respective slot.
  3. Switch the function selector to 'USB/TF'.
  4. Start playback of the desired audio file from the USB/TF card.
  5. Press the 'RECORD' button to begin recording the digital audio to tape.
  6. Press 'STOP' to end the recording.

Radio Operation (AM/FM)

  1. Switch the function selector to 'RADIO'.
  2. Extend the telescopic antenna for optimal FM reception.

  4. Adjust the volume using the volume knob.

USB/TF Card Playback

  1. Insert a USB drive or TF card (up to 32GB, supporting MP3/WMA formats) into the corresponding slot.
  2. Switch the function selector to 'USB/TF'.
  3. The device will automatically begin playing audio files. Use the playback control buttons (Play/Pause, Next, Previous) to manage your music.
  4. Adjust the volume using the volume knob.

Using the Earphone Jack

For private listening, connect standard 3.5mm headphones (not included) to the earphone jack located on the side of the unit. The built-in speaker will automatically mute when headphones are connected.
