This image shows the CLEANmaxx Pro Steam Automatic Shirt and Blouse Ironer in operation. A light blue long-sleeved shirt is placed over the inflatable mannequin, which is expanding to smooth out wrinkles. Steam is visibly emanating from the shirt, indicating the active steaming process. The base unit, black with a silver trim, features a control panel with illuminated icons. White clips secure the shirt to the mannequin, and the sleeves are held in place by white cuff attachments.
5. Setup
- Unpack: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Retain packaging for storage or potential returns.
- Assemble: Insert the telescopic rod into the designated opening on the base unit. Place the inflatable mannequin over the telescopic rod, ensuring it is securely attached.
- Fill Water Tank: Locate the water tank on the base unit. Open the cap and fill the tank with a maximum of 700 ml of distilled or demineralized water. Close the cap securely.
- Placement: Position the assembled ironer on a stable, flat, and heat-resistant surface, ensuring adequate space around the unit for air circulation.
- Connect Power: Plug the power cord into a suitable electrical outlet.
6. Operation
- Prepare Garment: Ensure the garment is clean and suitable for steam treatment. The ironer is ideal for shirts, blouses, t-shirts, tops, and thin sweaters made of materials like silk, polyester, and viscose.
- Place Garment: Carefully place the damp or dry garment over the inflatable mannequin. Use the provided clips to secure the bottom hem and sleeves, ensuring the fabric is taut but not stretched excessively.
- Select Program: Use the touch screen control panel to select the desired program. Options typically include:
- Steam & Dry: For wrinkle removal and drying.
- Dry Only: For drying garments without steam.
- Refresh: For odor reduction and light smoothing.
- Start Cycle: Press the start button. The mannequin will inflate, and the heating and fan elements will activate. Steam will be released if a steam program is selected.
- Monitor Progress: The appliance operates automatically. Avoid interrupting the cycle.
- Remove Garment: Once the cycle is complete and the mannequin has deflated, carefully remove the garment. It should be dry, smooth, and refreshed.
7. Maintenance and Cleaning
- Unplug: Always unplug the appliance before cleaning or performing any maintenance.
- Empty Water Tank: After each use, or regularly, empty any remaining water from the tank to prevent stagnation and mineral buildup.
- Clean Exterior: Wipe the exterior of the base unit with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Mannequin Care: The inflatable mannequin can be wiped clean with a damp cloth. Ensure it is completely dry before storage.
- Descaling: If you notice reduced steam output or mineral residue, descaling may be necessary. Consult the manufacturer's website or customer support for specific descaling instructions.
- Storage: Store the appliance in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture.
8. Troubleshooting
- Appliance does not turn on:
Check if the power cord is securely plugged into a working outlet. Ensure the power switch (if present) is in the 'ON' position. - No steam or low steam output:
Check if the water tank is filled with water. Ensure the water tank cap is securely closed. Descaling may be required if mineral buildup is present. - Garments are still wrinkled:
Ensure the garment is properly placed and taut on the mannequin. Increase the operating time. Some heavily wrinkled fabrics may require pre-treatment or a longer cycle. - Garments are not drying completely:
Increase the drying time. Ensure the garment is not excessively wet when placed on the ironer. Check that air vents are not obstructed. - Unusual odors or sounds during operation:
Immediately unplug the appliance. Allow it to cool down. Check for any visible damage or obstructions. If the issue persists, contact customer support.
