3.2 Wiring Diagram (General Guidelines)

  1. Power Connection: Connect the appropriate power cable from the three provided to your car's wiring harness. Ensure correct polarity for ACC (Accessory), B+ (Constant Power), and GND (Ground). Incorrect wiring can damage the unit or vehicle.
  2. CANBUS Connection: If your vehicle requires CANBUS for steering wheel controls, vehicle information display, or other integrated functions, connect the provided CANBUS decoder. Follow the specific wiring instructions for your vehicle model.
  3. GPS Antenna: Mount the GPS antenna in a location with a clear view of the sky, typically on the dashboard or under the windshield. Ensure it is not obstructed by metal objects. Connect the antenna cable to the GPS input on the autoradio.
  4. Rear Camera: Connect the rear camera input cable to the designated port on the autoradio. Route the camera cable neatly to the rear of the vehicle and connect the camera. Ensure the camera's power supply is connected to the vehicle's reverse light circuit so it activates automatically when reverse gear is engaged.
  5. USB Cables: Connect the USB extension cables to the autoradio. These can be routed to the glove compartment or center console for easy access to external USB devices or for wired CarPlay/Android Auto connections.
  6. RCA Cables: Connect RCA cables for external amplifiers, subwoofers, or auxiliary video inputs/outputs as needed. Refer to the specific labels on the RCA ports.
  7. Microphone: Connect the external microphone for improved call quality. Position it near the driver's head, such as on the sun visor or A-pillar, ensuring it is not obstructed.

3.3 Mounting the Unit

  1. Carefully insert the autoradio with its custom frame into the dashboard opening. Ensure all cables are tucked away and not pinched.
  2. Secure the unit using the vehicle's mounting brackets or screws. Do not overtighten.
  3. Reconnect the vehicle's battery. Turn on the ignition and test all functions (power, audio, touch screen, camera, GPS, Bluetooth) before fully reassembling the dashboard trim panels.

5. Maintenance

  • Screen Cleaning: Use a soft, lint-free microfiber cloth to gently wipe the touchscreen. For stubborn smudges, slightly dampen the cloth with water or a screen-safe cleaner. Do not use abrasive cleaners, alcohol, or solvents, as these can damage the screen coating.
  • Software Updates: Periodically check for software updates from the manufacturer's official website or through the unit's system settings (if an update feature is available). Keeping the software updated ensures optimal performance, security, and access to new features.
  • General Care: Avoid exposing the unit to extreme temperatures (hot or cold), direct sunlight for prolonged periods, or excessive moisture. Ensure proper ventilation around the unit to prevent overheating.

6. Troubleshooting

No Power:
Check all power connections (B+, ACC, GND) to ensure they are secure and correctly wired. Verify that the vehicle's fuse for the radio is not blown. Test the power supply at the harness connectors.
No Sound:
Check all speaker connections for proper polarity and secure contact. Verify volume levels on the autoradio and ensure it is not muted. Check audio output settings and ensure external amplifiers (if used) are powered on and functioning.
GPS Signal Lost/Weak:
Ensure the GPS antenna is properly connected to the unit and has a clear, unobstructed view of the sky. Relocate the antenna if it is under metal or other signal-blocking materials. Check GPS settings in the unit.
Bluetooth Connection Issues:
Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on both the autoradio and your mobile phone. Delete previous pairings from both devices and try reconnecting. Restart both the autoradio and your phone. Ensure your phone is within range.
Rear Camera Not Displaying:
Check the camera's power connection (ensure it's connected to the reverse light circuit) and the RCA video input cable connection to the autoradio. Verify the camera itself is functional. Some units require a specific reverse trigger wire to be connected.
Steering Wheel Controls Not Working:
Verify the CANBUS decoder is correctly connected and configured for your vehicle model. Reconfigure the steering wheel control settings in the unit's menu, ensuring each button is properly mapped.
