  1. Attach Casters to Base: Insert the five casters firmly into the holes at the end of each leg of the 5-star metal base.
  2. Install Gas Lift: Place the Class 4 gas lift cylinder into the center hole of the assembled base. Ensure it is seated securely.
  3. Attach Seat Mechanism: Secure the seat mechanism to the underside of the seat cushion using the provided screws. Ensure the front of the mechanism aligns with the front of the seat.
  4. Connect Seat to Gas Lift: Carefully place the assembled seat onto the gas lift cylinder, ensuring the center hole of the seat mechanism aligns with the top of the gas lift.
  5. Attach Backrest: Connect the backrest to the seat assembly using the designated mounting points and screws. Tighten all screws evenly.
  6. Install Armrests: Attach the 3D armrests to the sides of the seat assembly using the provided screws. Ensure they are oriented correctly (left and right).

Operating Instructions

Your COUGAR Speeder chair offers multiple adjustment options for personalized comfort.

Adjusting Chair Height

To adjust the chair height, locate the lever under the right side of the seat. Pull the lever upwards while seated to raise the chair (when unweighted) or lower it (when weighted). Release the lever at the desired height to lock it in place. The Class 4 gas lift cylinder ensures smooth and reliable height adjustment.

Recline Function and Adaptive Damping

The chair features an adaptive damping tilt mechanism. To recline, lean back and use the wire control mechanism lever (typically on the left side under the seat) to lock the chair at your desired angle within a 45-degree range (from 90° upright to 135° reclined). The adaptive damping system automatically adjusts the recline speed based on your body weight for a smooth and controlled movement.

Armrest Adjustment

The 3D hyperrotation armrests can be adjusted in multiple directions: height, depth, and pivot. Use the buttons or levers located on the armrests to unlock and adjust them to your preferred position. Release the button/lever to lock the armrest in place.

Headrest Adjustment

The headrest can be adjusted for height and angle. Gently push or pull the headrest to position it to provide optimal support for your neck and head. It will hold its position once released.

Lumbar Support Adjustment

The integrated lumbar support can be adjusted to provide optimal support for your lower back. (Specific adjustment mechanism not detailed in product information, typically involves a knob or lever on the backrest.)

Seat Depth Adjustment

To adjust the seat depth, locate the lever or control mechanism under the seat. Engage the mechanism to slide the seat forward or backward to accommodate your leg length. Release the control to lock the seat in the desired position.

Retractable Footrest

To deploy the footrest, pull it out from under the seat. Extend it to the desired length for leg support. To retract, push it back under the seat until it locks securely into place.

Maintenance

Proper maintenance will extend the life and performance of your COUGAR Speeder chair.

Cleaning

  • Mesh Fabric: The chair features Chenille Yarns mesh fabric. For general cleaning, use a soft brush or a vacuum cleaner with a brush attachment to remove dust and loose debris.
  • Spot Cleaning: For spills, gently blot with a clean, damp cloth and a mild soap solution. Avoid rubbing vigorously, as this can damage the fabric. Rinse with a clean, damp cloth and allow to air dry completely.
  • Avoid: Do not use harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, or solvents, as these can damage the fabric, frame, and plastic components.

Inspection

  • Periodically check all screws and bolts to ensure they are tight. Re-tighten if necessary using the provided Allen wrench.
  • Inspect casters for any hair, dust, or debris that might hinder smooth movement. Clean as needed.
  • Check the gas lift and adjustment mechanisms for any signs of wear or damage.

Lubrication

Moving parts, such as the gas lift and recline mechanism, are designed for maintenance-free operation and generally do not require lubrication. If you notice any stiffness or unusual noise, consult the manufacturer's support before applying any lubricants.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your COUGAR Speeder chair, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

Chair Does Not Adjust Height

  • Lever Engagement: Ensure the height adjustment lever is fully engaged and pulled upwards.
  • Gas Lift Check: Verify that the gas lift cylinder is properly installed into the base and seat mechanism. If the gas lift is faulty, it may need replacement.

Chair Squeaks or Makes Noise

  • Tighten Screws: Re-tighten all assembly screws, especially those connecting the backrest, seat, and armrests.
  • Caster Check: Inspect casters for debris or damage. Clean or replace if necessary.
  • Base Connection: Ensure the seat is securely seated on the gas lift and the gas lift is firmly in the 5-star base.

Casters Do Not Roll Smoothly

  • Remove Debris: Remove any hair, lint, or debris wrapped around the caster wheels.
  • Surface Compatibility: Ensure the chair is used on a suitable surface. Hard floors are recommended for optimal caster performance.

Recline Mechanism Not Working

  • Obstruction Check: Verify that the wire control mechanism is not obstructed or jammed.
  • Lever Position: Ensure the locking lever is fully engaged or disengaged as intended. Sometimes a firm push or pull is needed.
