3. Setup Guide

3.1 Connecting Your Smartphone

1. Gently extend the telescopic body of the EasySMX M15 controller.
2. Align your smartphone's Type-C port with the controller's adaptive Type-C connector. Ensure your phone case is not thicker than 1mm to allow for proper connection.
3. Carefully insert the phone into the connector and allow the telescopic body to retract, securing your phone in place. The controller is designed for plug-and-play functionality.

3.2 Switching Modes for Different Platforms

The EasySMX M15 supports multiple operating modes to ensure compatibility with various gaming platforms. To switch modes, press and hold the FN button along with the corresponding action button for 2 seconds until the indicator light changes:

• Yellow Indicator: HID Mode (FN + A) - For general Android gaming.
• White Indicator: XBOX Mode (FN + X) - For Xinput compatible games and streaming services.
• Blue Indicator: Smart Mapping Mode (FN + Y) - For advanced button mapping in certain games.
• Green Indicator: Apple Mode (FN + B) - For iPhone 15 series and iOS gaming.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Game Compatibility

The M15 controller is designed to work with a wide range of games and streaming services, including Xbox, PlayStation, PC games, Steam Link, NVIDIA GeForce Now, and Amazon Luna. Popular titles like Asphalt 9, Diablo Immortal, and Fortnite are supported. For Call of Duty on Android, switch your phone to Bluetooth mode.

4.2 Pass-through Charging

The controller supports pass-through charging, allowing you to charge your smartphone while gaming without interruption. Simply connect your charging cable to the controller's Type-C port.

5. Maintenance

• Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the controller. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials that could damage the surface or internal components.
• Storage: Store the controller in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. When not in use, retract the telescopic mechanism to its compact size to protect the connector.
• Handling: Avoid dropping the controller or subjecting it to strong impacts, as this can damage the internal Hall-effect sensors and mechanical buttons.

• Controller Not Connecting/Responding:
  • Ensure your smartphone is securely connected to the Type-C port.
  • Verify that the correct operating mode (HID, XBOX, Smart Mapping, Apple) is selected for your device and game. Refer to Section 3.2.
  • Restart your smartphone and the controller.
  • Check for any physical obstructions or damage to the Type-C connector on both the phone and the controller.
• Buttons/Joysticks Not Responding or Drifting:
  • Ensure the controller is in the correct mode for the game you are playing.
  • If experiencing joystick drift, try recalibrating the controller if your device or game supports it.
  • Clean around the buttons and joysticks to ensure no debris is interfering with their movement.
• Phone Not Fitting Properly:
  • The controller supports phones between 102mm and 176mm in length. Ensure your phone is within this range.
  • Remove any phone cases thicker than 1mm, as they can prevent a proper connection.
  • The controller is designed to accommodate camera bumps up to 5mm deep.
• Vibration Not Working:
  • Ensure the game you are playing supports vibration feedback.
  • Check the controller's vibration settings (if adjustable via companion app or system settings).
