6. Setup

6.1 Initial Charging

Before first use, fully charge the speaker. Connect the provided charging adapter to the DC In port on the speaker and plug it into a power outlet. The charging indicator will illuminate. Charging typically takes 4.5-5 hours.

6.2 Powering On/Off

Press and hold the Power On/Off button on the control panel to turn the speaker on or off.

7. Operating Instructions

7.1 Bluetooth Pairing

  1. Turn on the speaker. It will automatically enter Bluetooth pairing mode, indicated by a flashing "BLUE" on the display.
  2. Enable Bluetooth on your mobile device (smartphone, tablet, etc.).
  3. Search for "SoundMax 2000" in the list of available Bluetooth devices.
  4. Select "SoundMax 2000" to connect. A confirmation tone will sound once paired.
  5. You can now play audio from your device through the speaker.

The Bluetooth range is approximately 10 meters (33 feet).

7.2 FM Radio

  1. Press the Mode button until "FM" appears on the display.
  2. Press the Play/Pause button to automatically scan and save available FM stations.
  3. Use the Previous song and Next song buttons to navigate between saved stations.

7.3 USB/TF Card Playback

  1. Insert a USB drive or TF (MicroSD) card into the respective port.
  2. The speaker will automatically switch to USB or TF card mode and begin playing audio files. If not, press the Mode button to select the correct source.
  3. Use the Play/Pause, Previous song, and Next song buttons to control playback.

7.4 Aux-in Mode

  1. Connect an external audio device (e.g., MP3 player, laptop) to the AUX In port using a 3.5mm audio cable (not included).
  2. Press the Mode button until "AUX" appears on the display.
  3. Control playback from your connected device.

7.5 TWS (True Wireless Stereo) Mode

To experience dual speaker stereo output (160W total), you can pair two Artis SoundMax 2000 speakers together.

  1. Ensure both SoundMax 2000 speakers are powered on and in Bluetooth mode, but not yet paired with any device.
  2. On one of the speakers (this will be the primary speaker), press and hold the Mode button for a few seconds until you hear a confirmation tone, indicating TWS pairing mode.
  3. The two speakers will automatically connect to each other. A successful connection will be indicated by a different tone.
  4. Now, connect your mobile device to the primary speaker via Bluetooth as described in section 7.1.
  5. Audio will now play in stereo through both speakers.

7.6 Wireless Microphone Usage

  1. Ensure the speaker is powered on.
  2. Turn on the wireless microphones. They should automatically connect to the speaker.
  3. Adjust the microphone volume using the Mic Volume knob on the speaker's control panel.
  4. You can use the EQ and Tone controls to fine-tune the microphone sound.

8. Charging

The speaker is powered by a 7200 mAh rechargeable battery. When the battery is low, the speaker may indicate this visually or audibly. To charge:

  1. Connect the provided 9V/2A charging adapter to the DC In port on the speaker.
  2. Plug the adapter into a standard wall outlet.
  3. The charging indicator will show the charging status.
  4. A full charge takes approximately 4.5-5 hours.
  5. At 50% volume, the speaker provides approximately 5 hours of playback time.

9. Maintenance

  • Clean the speaker with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Keep the speaker in a cool, dry place when not in use.
  • Avoid blocking the speaker grilles to ensure proper airflow and sound quality.
  • Charge the battery regularly, even if not in frequent use, to prolong its lifespan.
