1. Introduction
This manual provides essential information for the safe and efficient operation, installation, and maintenance of your iMeshbean 2HP Swimming Pool Pump. Please read these instructions thoroughly before installation and use, and retain them for future reference.
2. Safety Information
WARNING: Risk of Electric Shock. Always disconnect power before servicing.
- Ensure the pump is installed by a qualified electrician in accordance with all local and national electrical codes.
- Connect to a properly grounded, ground-fault circuit interrupter (GFCI) protected outlet.
- Do not operate the pump if the power cord is damaged.
- Keep children and unauthorized persons away from the pump during operation.
- The pump features a built-in thermal protector and automatic pressure protection for enhanced safety.
3. Product Overview
The iMeshbean 2HP Swimming Pool Pump is designed for efficient water circulation in both in-ground and above-ground pools. It features a powerful 1500W (2HP) motor, a fine filter basket, and a durable construction.
3.1 Key Features
- Powerful 1500W (2HP) electric motor for high flow rates.
- IP55 rated for protection against dust and water jets.
- Pure copper motor for stable performance and long lifespan.
- Advanced S-Tek Flow System for increased efficiency.
- Integrated fine filter basket to prevent debris entry.
- Built-in thermal protector and automatic pressure protection.
- Low noise operation (less than 65dB).
3.2 Product Dimensions

Figure 1: Overall dimensions of the iMeshbean 2HP Swimming Pool Pump. The pump measures approximately 22.4 inches in length, 12.2 inches in height, and 6.9 inches in width. Key features highlighted are low noise, non-leakage design, and thermal protection.
4. Setup and Installation
- Pump Placement: Locate the pump as close as possible to the pool to minimize friction loss in the suction line.
- Piping: The pump suction line should not be smaller than the pressure line. Ensure all piping is airtight to prevent air leaks, which can affect pump performance.
- Thread Sealing: When connecting the pump unions, seal the threads on the pump with Teflon Tape or silicone sealant to ensure a watertight connection.
- Piping Support: The weight of the piping should be supported independently and not carried by the pump itself to prevent strain on the pump connections.
- Priming: Before starting the pump for the first time or after draining, fill the pump tank (strainer basket housing) completely with water.
- Pipe Compatibility: The pump is designed to fit 1.5-inch plumbing internally. The included 1.5-inch NPT connectors facilitate easy installation.

Figure 2: Pipe size compatibility. The pump's internal connections are suitable for 1.5 to 1.6-inch pipes, while external connections accommodate 1.9 to 2.0-inch pipes.
5. Operating Instructions
- Initial Start-up: After ensuring the pump tank is filled with water and all connections are secure, connect the pump to a GFCI-protected power outlet.
- Power On: Turn on the power supply to the pump.
- Priming Time: Allow a few moments for the pump to fully prime and begin delivering water. High suction lifts or long suction lines may require additional priming time and can reduce initial performance.
- Continuous Operation: The water being pumped cools and lubricates the pump's seal. Ensure continuous water flow during operation.
- Power Cord: The pump is equipped with a 4.9-foot power cord. Ensure it is routed safely and not exposed to damage.

6. Maintenance
- Strainer Basket Cleaning: Regularly inspect and clean the removable strainer basket. A clogged basket can restrict water flow and reduce pump efficiency.

- Winterization/Draining: Before periods of non-use or freezing temperatures, drain excess water from the pump using the drain plug.

Figure 5: The drain plug located at the bottom of the pump housing, used to remove water for maintenance or winterization.
- General Cleaning: Keep the exterior of the pump clean and free from debris.
- Seal Inspection: Periodically check for any signs of leakage around the pump seals.
7. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Pump does not start | No power, tripped GFCI, motor overload, seized impeller. | Check power supply and GFCI. Allow motor to cool if overloaded. Inspect impeller for obstructions. |
| Low water flow or no prime | Clogged strainer basket, air leak in suction line, insufficient water in pump tank, low pool water level. | Clean strainer basket. Check all suction line connections for leaks. Ensure pump tank is filled. Verify adequate pool water level. |
| Excessive noise | Air leak in suction line, cavitation, motor bearing issue, debris in impeller. | Check suction line for leaks. Ensure proper water flow. Inspect impeller for debris. Contact qualified technician if motor noise persists. |
| Water leakage | Loose connections, worn seal, cracked housing. | Tighten all connections. Inspect and replace seals if necessary. Contact support for housing damage. |
