5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Power and Speed Control
The UILFHX clippers feature a 600W motor and a variable 6-speed control, allowing for precise grooming based on the animal's coat and sensitivity.
- Low Speed (1-3): Provides precise performance suitable for sensitive areas such as the neck and legs of a horse.
- High Speed (4-6): Delivers maximum power for faster trimming and full body shaving.

Image 5.1: Diagram illustrating the 6-gear speed adjustment feature. It highlights that speeds 1-3 are for sensitive areas like legs and neck, while speeds 4-6 are for broader areas like the abdomen, back, and buttocks.
5.2 Clipping Technique
Ensure the animal is calm and secured before beginning. Always move the clippers smoothly against the direction of hair growth for an even cut. Regularly check blade temperature and lubricate as needed.
Video 5.2: This video demonstrates the general use of the horse clippers for grooming, showing the effective removal of thick animal hair. The clipping action is visible from the beginning of the video up to approximately the 0:08 mark.
6. Maintenance
6.1 Lubrication
Lubricating the blades is essential for preventing jamming, reducing heat, and extending the lifespan of the machine. Apply a proper amount of lubricating oil to the injection hole of the machine head before and periodically during use. Due to shipping restrictions, lubricating oil is not included and must be purchased separately.
6.2 Cleaning
After each use, clean the blades thoroughly with the provided cleaning brush to remove hair and debris. Ensure the dust-proof net at the air outlet is also cleaned to maintain proper heat dissipation.
6.3 Carbon Brush Replacement
Regularly check the carbon brushes for wear. Replace them in a timely manner to ensure consistent motor performance. Two extra carbon brushes are included in your package.
Video 6.1: This video demonstrates how to replace the carbon brushes in the clipper. The process for replacing the carbon brush is shown from approximately the 0:09 mark to the 0:19 mark.
7. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Clippers not turning on | No power, faulty switch, worn carbon brushes | Check power connection. Ensure switch is in 'ON' position. Inspect and replace carbon brushes if worn. |
| Blades getting hot quickly | Insufficient lubrication, dull blades, prolonged idle running | Apply lubricating oil. Replace blades if dull. Avoid running at idle; take breaks. |
| Poor cutting performance | Dull blades, improper blade tension, hair buildup | Replace blades. Adjust blade tension (do not overtighten). Clean blades and cutter head. |
| Excessive vibration or noise | Loose blades, worn internal components, motor issue | Ensure blades are securely fastened. If problem persists, contact customer support. |
