Main Unit Components:

  • Turntable Platter: Where records are placed.
  • Tonearm: Holds the cartridge and stylus.
  • Stylus (Needle): Reads the grooves of the record.
  • Dust Cover: Protects the turntable from dust.
  • Speed Selector: Allows selection of 33 1/3, 45, or 78 RPM.
  • Power/Volume Knob: Turns the unit on/off and adjusts volume.
  • USB Port: For MP3 conversion and playback.
  • Function Buttons: Control playback and recording modes.
  • Speaker Output Ports: Connects to the external speakers.
  • Shock-Absorbent Feet: Reduces vibrations for stable playback.

Setup

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Retain the packaging for future transport or storage.
  2. Placement: Place the record player unit and speakers on a stable, level surface. Ensure there is enough space for the dust cover to open fully. The shock-absorbent feet will help minimize vibrations.
  3. Connect Speakers: Connect the two external speakers to the speaker output ports on the back of the main record player unit. Ensure the correct polarity (red to red, black to black) if applicable, or simply insert the RCA-style connectors firmly.

  4. Connect Power: Insert the DC plug of the power adapter into the DC IN jack on the back of the unit. Plug the AC adapter into a suitable wall outlet.
  5. Remove Stylus Protector: Gently remove the clear plastic stylus protector from the stylus assembly before first use.

Operating Instructions

Playing Vinyl Records:

  1. Power On: Turn the Power/Volume knob clockwise to turn on the unit.
  2. Select Speed: Set the speed selector switch to the appropriate speed for your record (33 1/3, 45, or 78 RPM). For 45 RPM records, place the included 45 RPM adapter on the center spindle.

  3. Place Record: Place a vinyl record on the turntable platter.
  4. Lift Tonearm: Gently lift the tonearm using the cueing lever.
  5. Position Tonearm: Move the tonearm over the desired starting groove of the record.
  6. Lower Tonearm: Slowly lower the tonearm using the cueing lever. The stylus will make contact with the record, and playback will begin.
  7. Adjust Volume: Adjust the volume using the Power/Volume knob.
  8. Auto Stop/Return: The RP335 features an auto lift and return function. At the end of a record, the tonearm will automatically lift and return to its rest position, and the platter will stop spinning.

Bluetooth Connectivity:

The RP335 supports Bluetooth 5.4 for both input (streaming to the turntable) and output (streaming from the turntable).

Bluetooth Input (Streaming to RP335):

  1. Select Bluetooth Mode: Press the Function button on the unit until "BT IN" or a similar indicator is displayed. The unit will enter pairing mode.
  2. Enable Bluetooth on Device: On your mobile device (smartphone, tablet, etc.), enable Bluetooth and search for available devices.
  3. Pair: Select "Audizio RP335" from the list of devices. Once paired, you can stream audio from your device to the record player's speakers.

Bluetooth Output (Streaming from RP335):

  1. Select Bluetooth Output Mode: Press the Function button on the unit until "BT OUT" or a similar indicator is displayed. The unit will enter pairing mode, searching for external Bluetooth speakers or headphones.
  2. Enable Pairing on External Device: Put your external Bluetooth speaker or headphones into pairing mode.
  3. Connect: The RP335 will automatically attempt to connect to nearby Bluetooth audio devices in pairing mode. Once connected, audio from vinyl playback will be sent to the external device.

USB MP3 Conversion and Playback:

The RP335 allows you to convert your vinyl records to MP3 files directly onto a USB stick and play MP3 files from a USB stick.

Recording Vinyl to USB:

  1. Insert USB Stick: Insert a USB flash drive into the USB port on the front of the unit. Ensure it is formatted to FAT32.
  2. Start Vinyl Playback: Begin playing the vinyl record you wish to record.
  3. Start Recording: Press the "REC" button (or equivalent) on the unit. An indicator light will typically show that recording is in progress.
  4. Stop Recording: Press the "REC" button again to stop recording. The recorded MP3 file will be saved to the USB stick.

Playing MP3 Files from USB:

  1. Insert USB Stick: Insert a USB flash drive containing MP3 files into the USB port.
  2. Select USB Mode: Press the Function button until "USB" or a similar indicator is displayed. The unit will automatically begin playing MP3 files from the USB stick.
  3. Control Playback: Use the playback control buttons (Play/Pause, Next, Previous) to navigate your MP3 files.

Maintenance

Cleaning the Unit:

  • Always unplug the unit from the power outlet before cleaning.
  • Use a soft, dry, lint-free cloth to wipe the surfaces of the record player and speakers.
  • Do not use abrasive cleaners, waxes, or solvents as they may damage the finish.
  • For the dust cover, use a soft cloth and a mild, non-abrasive cleaner if necessary.

Stylus Care:

  • The stylus is delicate. Avoid touching it with your fingers.
  • Clean the stylus periodically using a soft brush, brushing gently from back to front.
  • A worn stylus can damage your records and degrade sound quality. Replace the stylus after approximately 300-500 hours of playback, or if you notice a significant drop in sound quality.

Record Care:

  • Handle records by their edges to avoid transferring oils from your skin.
  • Store records vertically in their sleeves to prevent warping.
  • Clean records regularly with a dedicated record cleaning brush or solution to remove dust and static.
