Setup Instructions
Preparation
Clear an adequate space for assembly. It is recommended to have two adults for assembly. Lay out all components and hardware on a soft, clean surface to prevent damage.
Assembly Steps
- Attach Side Rails to Headboard and Footboard: Connect the upholstered side rails to the headboard and footboard using the provided bolts and washers. Ensure all connections are secure.
- Install Hydraulic Lifting Mechanism Frame: Position the metal frame for the hydraulic system inside the assembled bed frame. Secure it to the side rails according to the diagrams in your included paper manual. This step often requires careful alignment and tightening.
- Attach Wooden Slats: Place the wooden slats onto the support beams of the hydraulic lifting mechanism. Ensure they are evenly spaced and secured with the provided fasteners. Some slats may require pre-drilling or additional force to fit snugly.
- Install Center Support Legs: Attach any required center support legs to the hydraulic frame or slats to ensure proper mattress support and stability.
- Final Tightening: Once all components are assembled, carefully go over all bolts and screws to ensure they are fully tightened. Do not overtighten.

Operating Instructions
Hydraulic Storage System Operation
The SOFTSEA Upholstered Platform Bed features a hydraulic lifting system for convenient under-bed storage access.
- To Open: Stand at the foot of the bed. Firmly grasp the fabric pull handle located at the footboard. Lift the mattress platform upwards with a steady motion. The hydraulic pistons will assist in lifting and holding the platform in the open position.
- To Close: Grasp the fabric pull handle and gently pull the mattress platform downwards. Apply slight downward pressure until the platform fully lowers and rests securely on the bed frame. Ensure no objects are obstructing the closing mechanism.
Important: Do not attempt to open or close the storage system by pushing or pulling on the mattress directly. Always use the designated pull handle. Keep hands and fingers clear of moving parts during operation.

Maintenance
Cleaning
- Upholstered Fabric: For general cleaning, gently vacuum the teddy fleece upholstery with a brush attachment to remove dust and debris. For spills, blot immediately with a clean, dry cloth. For stubborn stains, use a mild fabric cleaner specifically designed for upholstery, testing on an inconspicuous area first. Do not saturate the fabric.
- Frame: Wipe the bed frame with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
General Care
- Periodically check all bolts and screws to ensure they remain tight. Re-tighten as necessary to maintain stability and prevent noise.
