5. Setup Instructions

6. Operating Instructions

6.1. Basic Audio Mixing

  1. Set Gain Levels: Adjust the Gain Adjustment Knob for each input channel. The Peak Signal Indicator should flash occasionally, but not stay lit, to avoid clipping.
  2. Adjust EQ: Use the HF, MF, and LF Adjustment Knobs to shape the tone of each channel.
  3. Pan Channels: Use the PAN knob to position each channel in the stereo field.
  4. Set Channel Volume: Use the Volume Fader for each channel to balance the mix.
  5. Master Volume: Adjust the Total Volume Fader (L/R) for the overall output level.

6.2. Bluetooth Connectivity

The mixer features integrated Bluetooth for wireless audio streaming from compatible devices.

  1. Ensure the mixer is powered on.
  2. On the digital display, select the Bluetooth mode using the Function Button.
  3. On your smartphone, tablet, or computer, search for Bluetooth devices and select "Kmise Mixer" (or similar name).
  4. Once paired, audio from your device will play through the mixer. Adjust its volume using the MP3 Playback Volume knob.

6.3. USB MP3 Playback and Recording

The mixer supports USB flash drives for MP3/WAV/Lossless APE/FLAC music playback and recording to a computer.

  1. USB Playback:
    • Insert a USB flash drive (formatted to FAT32) containing audio files into the USB Port.
    • Select USB mode on the digital display using the Function Button.
    • Use the player controls (play/pause, skip tracks) on the mixer to manage playback.
    • Adjust volume with the MP3 Playback Volume knob.
  2. USB Recording (to Computer):
    • Connect the mixer to your computer via a USB A-to-B cable.
    • Ensure your computer recognizes the mixer as an audio input device.
    • Open your preferred Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) software.
    • Select the mixer as the input device in your DAW settings.

7. Maintenance
