6. Operating Instructions

6.1. Selecting Operating Mode (3-in-1 System)

The drill driver features three operating modes: Screw Driving, Drilling, and Impact Drilling. Rotate the mode selector ring to choose the appropriate mode for your task.

Diagram illustrating the three operating modes: Screw Driving, Drilling, and Impact Drilling, selected via the mode selector ring on the drill.

Figure 3: Mode selection for Screw Driving, Drilling, and Impact Drilling.

  • Screw Driving Mode: For driving and removing screws.
  • Drilling Mode: For drilling holes in wood, metal, and plastic.
  • Impact Drilling Mode: For drilling into masonry and harder materials like brick and cement.

6.2. Adjusting Torque Settings

The torque adjustment ring allows you to select from 25+3 torque settings, providing precise control for various materials and screw sizes. Lower settings are for smaller screws or softer materials, while higher settings are for larger screws or harder materials.

Figure 5: The drill's internal components enable a maximum torque of 42 N.m.

6.3. Selecting Speed Range

Use the speed selector switch (typically located on top of the drill) to choose between two speed ranges:

  • Low Speed (0-550 RPM): Recommended for screw driving and applications requiring higher torque.
  • High Speed (0-1850 RPM): Recommended for drilling and applications requiring faster rotation.
Two drills demonstrating the two-speed gearbox: one set to 0-550 RPM for screw driving, and another to 0-1850 RPM for drilling.

6.4. Forward/Reverse Operation

The forward/reverse selector switch, located above the trigger, controls the direction of rotation. Push it to the left for forward rotation (driving screws, drilling) and to the right for reverse rotation (removing screws). Position it in the middle to lock the trigger and prevent accidental startup.

6.5. Using the LED Work Light

The integrated LED work light automatically illuminates when the trigger is pressed, providing visibility in dimly lit work areas.
