Brother MZ53 Full-Size Sewing Machine Instruction Manual

Your guide to setting up, operating, and maintaining your Brother MZ53 sewing machine.

1. Important Safety Instructions

Before using your Brother MZ53 sewing machine, please read and understand all safety instructions to prevent accidents and ensure proper operation.

  • Always unplug the machine from the electrical outlet immediately after using and before cleaning, removing covers, or performing any user servicing.
  • Do not allow the machine to be used as a toy. Close attention is necessary when the machine is used by or near children.
  • Use this machine only for its intended use as described in this manual. Use only accessories recommended by the manufacturer.
  • Never operate this machine if it has a damaged cord or plug, if it is not working properly, if it has been dropped or damaged, or dropped into water.
  • Keep fingers away from all moving parts. Special care is required around the sewing machine needle.
  • Always use the correct needle plate. The wrong plate can cause the needle to break.
  • Do not pull on the power cord to disconnect. Grasp the plug, not the cord.
