Installation
Proper installation is critical for your child's safety. Always refer to your vehicle's owner's manual and the car seat's labels for specific instructions.
Rear-Facing Installation (4-40 lbs, up to 43 inches)
The car seat can be installed rear-facing using either the lower anchor attachments (LATCH) or the vehicle's seat belt.
Using Lower Anchors (LATCH)
For rear-facing installation with lower anchors, ensure the car seat is in the correct recline position (indicated by the blue line in the window). The lower anchors can be used until your child reaches 35 lbs.
1. Ensure the car seat is in the appropriate recline position for rear-facing.
2. Locate your vehicle's lower anchor bars.
3. Attach the car seat's lower anchor connectors to the vehicle's lower anchor bars.
4. Press down firmly on the car seat while pulling the LATCH strap to tighten the connection.
5. Check for a secure fit: The car seat should not move more than 1 inch side-to-side or front-to-back at the belt path.
Using Vehicle Seat Belt
For rear-facing installation with the vehicle seat belt, utilize the built-in LockTight lock-off system for a secure fit.
1. Place the car seat in the desired rear-facing recline position.
2. Route the vehicle's lap and shoulder belt through the designated rear-facing belt path on the car seat.
3. Buckle the vehicle seat belt.
4. Open the LockTight lock-off mechanism, pull the vehicle seat belt tight to remove all slack, and then close the LockTight mechanism.
5. Check for a secure fit: The car seat should not move more than 1 inch side-to-side or front-to-back at the belt path.
Forward-Facing Installation (30-65 lbs, up to 49 inches)
The car seat can be installed forward-facing using the vehicle's seat belt. The top tether must always be used when forward-facing.
1. Adjust the car seat to an upright forward-facing recline position.
2. Route the vehicle's lap and shoulder belt through the designated forward-facing belt path.
3. Buckle the vehicle seat belt.
4. Open the LockTight lock-off mechanism, pull the vehicle seat belt tight to remove all slack, and then close the LockTight mechanism.
5. Attach the top tether strap to your vehicle's top tether anchor point and tighten it securely.
6. Check for a secure fit: The car seat should not move more than 1 inch side-to-side or front-to-back at the belt path.
Operating Your Car Seat
360° Spin Function
To rotate the car seat, ensure the car is stationary and the seat is not locked for driving. Pull the 360° rotation lever (usually located at the front of the base) and turn the seat to the desired position (rear-facing, forward-facing, or side-facing for loading/unloading). Once in position, release the lever and ensure the seat locks into place (the turn lock indicator should show green).
Harness Adjustment
The 5-point harness system features a no-rethread design, allowing you to adjust the harness height and headrest simultaneously.
- Rear-Facing: Harness straps must be at or just below your child's shoulders.
- Forward-Facing: Harness straps must be at or just above your child's shoulders.
Always ensure the harness straps are snug against your child's body. You should not be able to pinch any excess webbing vertically at the child's shoulder. The chest clip should be positioned at armpit level.

Recline Positions
The car seat offers multiple recline positions for both rear-facing and forward-facing modes. Adjust the recline by pressing the recline button (usually at the front of the base) and tilting the seat. Ensure the recline indicator shows the correct position for your child's weight and facing mode.
Maintenance
- Fabric Care: Machine wash fabrics on a gentle cycle with cold water. Do not bleach. Tumble dry low or hang to dry.
- Spot Cleaning: For minor spills, spot clean with mild soap and water.
- Harness and Buckle: Wipe the harness straps and buckle with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the buckle in water.
- Plastic Parts: Wipe plastic parts with a damp cloth and mild soap.
