Setup and Installation

The Arlo Wired Floodlight Camera requires hardwiring to an existing 4-inch round electrical junction box. Ensure power is turned off at the breaker before beginning installation.

Installation Steps:

  1. Turn off power: Locate the circuit breaker controlling the outdoor light fixture you intend to replace and switch it to the OFF position. Verify power is off using a voltage tester.
  2. Remove existing fixture: Carefully remove your old floodlight or outdoor fixture from the junction box. Disconnect all wires and ensure they are safely tucked away.
  3. Install mounting bracket: Attach the Arlo mounting bracket to your existing 4-inch round electrical junction box using the provided screws. Ensure it is securely fastened.
  4. Connect wires: Connect the wires from the floodlight camera to the corresponding wires in the junction box (Live to Live, Neutral to Neutral, Ground to Ground) using wire nuts. Ensure all connections are secure.
  5. Mount floodlight: Carefully tuck all wires into the junction box. Align the floodlight camera with the mounting bracket and secure it in place.
  6. Restore power: Turn the power back on at the circuit breaker.
  7. App setup: Download the Arlo Secure App from your device's app store. Follow the in-app instructions to add your new Arlo Wired Floodlight Camera and complete the setup process, including Wi-Fi connection (2.4 GHz WiFi Network required).
