1. Important Safety Instructions

  1. Removable Water Tank (2.5L): Located at the back for easy refilling and cleaning.

3. Setup

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove all packaging materials and ensure all components are present.
  2. Placement: Place the machine on a flat, stable, heat-resistant surface, away from water sources.
  3. Water Tank: Remove the 2.5L water tank from the back, fill it with fresh, cold potable water up to the MAX line, and securely place it back into the machine.
  4. Grinder Assembly: Ensure the grinding disc assembly is correctly installed. Refer to Video 3.1 for detailed installation.
  5. Power Connection: Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet.
  6. Initial Rinse: Before first use, perform an initial rinse cycle without coffee. Fill the water tank, turn on the machine, and run hot water through the brew head and steam wand to clean internal components.

4. Operating Instructions

Follow these steps to brew your favorite coffee beverages.

4.1 Grinding Coffee Beans

  1. Ensure the bean box is securely locked in place.
  2. Add fresh whole coffee beans to the bean box.
  3. Select your desired grind size using the adjustment knob (1-15). Finer grinds are for espresso, coarser for other methods.
  4. Place the portafilter under the grinder outlet.
  5. Press the Grind/Pause button to start grinding. The machine will automatically dispense the set amount.

4.2 Tamping

  1. After grinding, use the included tamper to press the coffee grounds firmly and evenly into the portafilter basket.
  2. Ensure the surface is level to promote even water distribution during brewing.

4.3 Brewing Espresso

  1. Insert the portafilter into the brew head and turn it to the right until it is securely locked.
  2. Place one or two cups beneath the portafilter spouts.
  3. Press the Single Shot or Double Shot button to begin brewing.
  4. Monitor the pressure and temperature gauges for optimal extraction (typically 9-12 bar pressure and 195-205°F). The machine features a 20-bar Italian ULKA pump and PID temperature control for consistent results.
  5. The machine will automatically stop when the programmed volume is reached.

4.4 Milk Frothing

  1. Fill the milk frothing pitcher with cold milk (dairy or non-dairy).
  2. Press the Steam button to activate the steam wand. Wait for the indicator light to become solid, indicating it's ready.
  3. Position the steam wand just below the surface of the milk.
  4. Turn the Steam Control Knob to release steam. Move the pitcher up and down to create desired foam texture.
  5. Once frothed, turn the Steam Control Knob to the OFF position and press the Steam button to deactivate.
  6. Wipe the steam wand immediately with a damp cloth to prevent milk residue buildup.

4.5 Hot Water Function

The machine also provides a separate hot water outlet for Americanos, tea, or pre-warming cups.

  1. Place a cup under the hot water outlet.
  2. Press the Hot Water button to dispense hot water.
  3. Press the Hot Water button again to stop dispensing.

5. Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and longevity of your espresso machine.

5.1 General Cleaning

  • Drip Tray: The drip tray is removable for easy emptying and cleaning. Empty and rinse daily.
  • Water Tank: Clean the water tank regularly with mild detergent and rinse thoroughly.
  • Exterior: Wipe the exterior of the machine with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners.

5.2 Grinder Cleaning

The built-in grinder is fully detachable for thorough cleaning, which helps prevent coffee bean jams and powder clogs.

  1. Ensure the machine is off and unplugged.
  2. Remove the bean box and the grinding disc assembly.
  3. Use the included cleaning brush to remove any residual coffee grounds from the burrs and grinding chute.

5.3 Descaling
