Using the Booster Switch
The booster switch is designed to reactivate fully depleted 7.2V/7.4V lithium-ion batteries that may not be recognized by standard chargers. If a depleted battery does not begin charging (LED remains green after insertion), follow these steps:
- Ensure the depleted 7.2V/7.4V battery is correctly inserted into the charger.
- Locate the small "Booster Switch" button, typically near the charging slot or LED indicator.
- Press and hold the Booster Switch for a few seconds. The LED should turn red, indicating that the battery is now charging.
- Release the switch. The charging process should continue normally.
- If the LED does not turn red, the battery may be faulty or incompatible.
Maintenance
- Cleaning: Disconnect the charger from the power outlet before cleaning. Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the exterior of the charger. Do not use liquid cleaners or solvents.
- Storage: Store the charger in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Battery Contacts: Periodically check the charging contacts on both the charger and your batteries for any dirt or corrosion. Clean gently with a dry cotton swab if necessary.
