Setup and Installation

Follow these steps to properly set up your EcoCalm Radiator Fan:

  1. Unpack the Device: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Ensure you have the fan units, the control module with thermostat, and the power adapter.
  2. Identify Compatible Radiators: The EcoCalm Radiator Fan is suitable for metallic radiators with magnetic absorption capabilities, such as traditional cast iron radiators, tubular radiators, and oil-filled radiators. Ensure there is sufficient space for the fan units between the radiator columns.
  3. Magnetic Attachment: Each fan unit and the control module are equipped with strong magnets. Attach the fan units directly to the radiator surface. You can separate or combine the fans based on your radiator's length and your preference. Position them to optimize airflow.
  4. Connect Power: Plug the power adapter into the control module, then connect it to a standard electrical outlet.

Operating Instructions

The EcoCalm Radiator Fan features touch controls and an integrated thermostat for efficient operation.

Power On/Off

  • Press the power button on the control module to turn the unit on or off.

ECO Mode

The intelligent ECO mode is designed for optimal energy saving and heating efficiency:

  • In ECO mode, the integrated thermostat measures the radiator's temperature.
  • The fans automatically activate when the radiator temperature reaches 30°C (86°F).
  • The fans automatically deactivate when the radiator temperature drops below 26°C (78.8°F).
  • By default, the fan speed in ECO mode is set to Level 1.

Fan Speed Adjustment

The radiator fan offers three speed levels to suit your needs:

  • Use the speed control buttons on the control module to cycle through the three available speed settings.
  • Level 1 provides quiet operation, ideal for nighttime or when minimal disturbance is desired (sound level below 39 dB).
  • Higher levels increase airflow for faster heat distribution.

Enhanced Heating

The fan system accelerates air convection around the radiator, improving heating efficiency and reducing the time required to reach your desired room temperature. For best results, activate the fans when the radiator is warming up.

Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your EcoCalm Radiator Fan, follow these simple maintenance guidelines:

  • Cleaning: Periodically wipe the fan units and control module with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the units in water. Ensure the device is unplugged before cleaning.
  • Dust Removal: Gently remove any dust accumulation from the fan blades and grilles using a soft brush or a vacuum cleaner with a brush attachment. Dust can impede airflow and reduce efficiency.
  • Storage: If storing the device for an extended period, disconnect it from power, clean it thoroughly, and store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your EcoCalm Radiator Fan, please refer to the following common problems and solutions:

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
Fans not turning onNo power; ECO mode not activated or radiator not hot enough; device off.Check power connection; ensure radiator temperature is above 30°C in ECO mode; press power button to turn on.
Ineffective heat distributionImproper fan placement; fan speed too low; dust accumulation.Adjust fan placement for optimal airflow; increase fan speed; clean fan blades and grilles.
Fans making unusual noiseObstruction in fan blades; loose attachment.Disconnect power and check for any obstructions; ensure fans are securely attached to the radiator.
