5. Setup

5.1 Charging the Device

Before first use, fully charge the alarm unit. A full charge takes approximately 4 hours and provides 4-6 weeks of operation depending on usage.

1. Locate the charging port on the back of the alarm unit.
2. Connect the provided USB charging cable to the alarm unit.
3. Plug the other end of the USB cable into any standard USB power adapter (not included).
4. The battery indicator on the display will show charging status. Once fully charged, disconnect the cable.

5.2 Attaching the Alarm Unit to the Sweatband

The alarm unit is designed to be removable for charging and cleaning of the sweatband.

1. Ensure the sweatband is clean and dry.
2. Locate the opening in the sweatband designed for the alarm unit.
3. Gently push the alarm unit into the opening until it is securely seated. Ensure the display faces outwards.

5.3 Wearing the Wristband

Wear the wristband on your wrist for optimal vibration sensation. The sweatband is designed for comfort during sleep.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Setting Time and Date

The device allows setting of the current time and date. Refer to the specific instructions provided on the small printed sheet included with your product for detailed button press sequences, as these can be intricate.

6.2 Setting Alarms

The Coolfire 1685E supports up to 6 distinct vibration alarms. Each alarm can be set independently.

1. Press the SET button repeatedly until the alarm setting mode is displayed (e.g., AL1, AL2).
2. Use the TIME/ALARM button to adjust the hour and minute values.
3. Press SET to confirm each segment (hour, minute) and move to the next alarm or exit setting mode.

6.3 Using the Stopwatch

The device includes a 24-hour precision 1/100 seconds digital stopwatch function.

1. Press the LIGHT/STW button to enter stopwatch mode.
2. Press LIGHT/STW again to start and stop the stopwatch.
3. Press SET to reset the stopwatch.

6.4 Backlight Function

Press the LIGHT/STW button briefly to activate the display backlight for improved visibility in low light conditions.

7. Maintenance

7.1 Cleaning the Sweatband

The sweatband is washable, but the alarm unit is not. Always detach the alarm unit before washing the sweatband.

1. To detach the watch, release the locking ring from the back of the watch unit.
2. Gently push the watch unit out of the sweatband.
3. Wash the sweatband by hand with mild soap and water, or machine wash on a gentle cycle.
4. Allow the sweatband to air dry completely before reinserting the alarm unit.
