2. Setup
2.1 Connecting the Mouse
The M916AK PRO offers three connection methods:
- 2.4GHz Wireless Connection:
- Insert the USB receiver into an available USB port on your computer.
- Set the switch on the bottom of the mouse to the '2.4G' position.
- The mouse should connect automatically. If not, press the pairing button on the mouse (if available) or refer to the software for pairing instructions.
- Bluetooth Connection:
- Set the switch on the bottom of the mouse to the 'BT' position.
- On your computer or device, navigate to Bluetooth settings and search for new devices.
- Select 'Redragon M916AK PRO' from the list of available devices to pair.
- Wired USB-C Connection:
- Connect the provided USB-C cable to the mouse and the other end to an available USB port on your computer.
- The mouse will function as a wired device and will charge simultaneously.

2.2 Charging the Mouse
To charge the mouse, connect it to your computer using the provided USB-C cable. The mouse can be used while charging in wired mode. A full charge typically takes a few hours.

3. Operating Instructions
3.1 DPI Adjustment
The mouse features 5 redefinable DPI levels, allowing you to adjust sensitivity for different tasks or games. Default DPI settings are typically 1000/2000/4000/8000/26000. You can cycle through these levels using the dedicated DPI button on the mouse or customize them further using the Redragon software.

3.2 Programmable Buttons
The M916AK PRO includes 5 programmable buttons. These buttons can be assigned custom functions, macros, or keybinds through the Redragon software to suit your workflow or gaming style. The two side buttons are commonly used for forward and backward navigation or in-game actions.
3.3 Software Installation and Usage
To unlock the full customization potential of your Redragon M916AK PRO mouse, download and install the dedicated Redragon software from the official Redragon website. The software allows you to:
- Adjust DPI levels from 100 to 26,000.
- Customize polling rates (125Hz, 250Hz, 500Hz, 1000Hz).
- Program all 5 buttons with custom keybinds, macros, or multimedia functions.
- Manage DPI light effects and other sensor settings.

4. Maintenance
4.1 Cleaning
To maintain optimal performance, regularly clean your mouse. Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the surface. For stubborn dirt, a slightly damp cloth with mild soap can be used, ensuring no liquid enters the mouse. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
4.2 Battery Care
To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the mouse frequently. Charge the mouse when the battery indicator suggests low power. Store the mouse in a cool, dry place when not in use for extended periods.
5. Troubleshooting
5.1 Connectivity Issues
- 2.4GHz Wireless: Ensure the USB receiver is securely plugged in and the mouse is set to 2.4G mode. Try a different USB port.
- Bluetooth: Verify Bluetooth is enabled on your device and the mouse is in BT mode. Remove and re-pair the mouse in your device's Bluetooth settings.
- Wired: Check the USB-C cable connection at both ends. Try a different USB port or cable.
5.2 Unresponsive Mouse
- Check the battery level and charge the mouse if necessary.
- Ensure the optical sensor on the bottom of the mouse is clean and unobstructed.
- Try restarting your computer.
- If using wireless, ensure there are no strong interference sources nearby.
5.3 Software Not Detecting Mouse
- Ensure the mouse is connected to the computer (preferably wired during software setup).
- Reinstall the Redragon software.
- Check for any driver updates for your operating system.
