Maintenance

Cleaning

To clean the remote control, gently wipe it with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners, abrasive pads, or chemical solvents, as these can damage the remote's surface or internal components.

Battery Replacement

Replace batteries when the remote's response becomes sluggish or it stops functioning. Always replace both batteries at the same time with new AA alkaline batteries. Do not mix old and new batteries, or different types of batteries.

Troubleshooting

  • Remote not responding:
    • Check if the batteries are inserted correctly with the correct polarity (+/-).
    • Replace the batteries with fresh AA alkaline batteries.
    • Ensure there is a clear line of sight between the remote's infrared emitter and the receiver's sensor.
    • Verify that the remote is compatible with your specific Denon receiver model.
  • Some buttons do not work:
    • This remote is a replacement and may have buttons for features not present on all compatible Denon receiver models. Refer to your original Denon receiver manual to confirm supported functions.
  • Short operating range:
    • Replace the batteries. Low battery power can reduce the remote's effective range.
    • Ensure no strong light sources (e.g., direct sunlight, fluorescent lights) are interfering with the receiver's IR sensor.
