Follow these steps to properly install your Biostar H310MHP 3.0 motherboard into your computer system.

3.1. Preparing for Installation

3.2. CPU Installation

  1. Locate the LGA 1151 CPU socket on the motherboard.
  2. Gently push down the load lever and pull it out to open the CPU socket cover.
  3. Carefully align your Intel LGA 1151 CPU with the socket, ensuring the gold triangle on the CPU matches the triangle on the socket. Do not force the CPU into the socket.
  4. Lower the load plate and push the load lever back into place to secure the CPU.
  5. Install the CPU cooler according to its manufacturer's instructions. Apply thermal paste if necessary.

3.3. Memory (RAM) Installation

  1. Open the clips on both ends of the DDR4 DIMM slots.
  2. Align the notch on your DDR4 memory module with the key in the DIMM slot.
  3. Press down firmly on both ends of the memory module until the clips snap into place.

3.4. Motherboard Mounting

  1. Install the I/O shield into the rear opening of your computer case.
  2. Carefully place the motherboard into the case, aligning the screw holes with the standoffs.
  3. Secure the motherboard with screws, ensuring not to overtighten.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1. First Boot

  1. After all components are installed and connected, connect your monitor, keyboard, and mouse.
  2. Connect the power supply to a wall outlet and turn on the power switch on the PSU.
  3. Press the power button on your computer case.
  4. The system should power on and display the BIOS/UEFI splash screen.

4.2. BIOS/UEFI Setup

To enter the BIOS/UEFI setup utility, press the DEL or F2 key repeatedly during the initial boot sequence. From here, you can configure boot order, system time, and other advanced settings. Save changes before exiting.

4.3. Operating System Installation

Insert your operating system installation media (USB drive or DVD) and configure the boot order in BIOS/UEFI to boot from the installation media. Follow the on-screen prompts to install your operating system.
