Setup

1. Charging the Device

  1. Connect the magnetic charging cable to the charging port on your OpenSwim S700.
  2. Plug the USB end of the cable into a USB power adapter or a computer's USB port.
  3. The LED indicator will show the charging status. A full charge typically takes approximately 2 hours.

2. Loading Music

The OpenSwim S700 does not support Bluetooth. Music must be loaded directly onto the device.

  1. Connect your OpenSwim S700 to a computer using the magnetic charging cable. The device will appear as a removable disk drive.
  2. Open the device folder on your computer.
  3. Drag and drop your desired audio files (MP3, WAV, WMA, AAC, FLAC) into the device folder.
  4. Once files are transferred, safely eject the OpenSwim S700 from your computer before disconnecting the cable.

3. Wearing the OpenSwim S700

  • Place the transducers on your cheekbones, just in front of your ears.
  • Ensure the neckband rests comfortably around the back of your head.
  • Adjust the fit for comfort and optimal sound. The device should feel secure without being too tight.

Operating Instructions

Power On/Off

  • To Power On: Press and hold the Power/Volume+ button for 2 seconds until the LED flashes blue and you hear "Welcome to Shokz."
  • To Power Off: Press and hold the Power/Volume+ button for 3 seconds until the LED flashes red and you hear "Power off."

Music Playback

  • Play/Pause: Press the Multi-function button once.
  • Next Track: Press and hold the Volume+ button for 2 seconds.
  • Previous Track: Press and hold the Volume- button for 2 seconds.

Volume Control

  • Increase Volume: Press the Volume+ button.
  • Decrease Volume: Press the Volume- button.

Equalizer Modes (EQ)

The OpenSwim S700 features different EQ modes optimized for various listening environments.

  • Standard Mode: For general listening.
  • Swimming Mode: Optimized for underwater listening.
  • To Switch EQ Modes: Press and hold the Multi-function button and Volume- button simultaneously for 2 seconds.

Using Earplugs for Swimming

For an enhanced underwater audio experience, it is recommended to use the included SHOKZ nose clip or other swimming earplugs to block out water and external sounds. This allows the bone conduction technology to deliver clearer sound.

Maintenance

Cleaning

  • After each use, especially after swimming, rinse the OpenSwim S700 with fresh water.
  • Wipe the device dry with a soft, clean cloth.
  • Ensure the charging port is completely dry before connecting the magnetic charging cable to prevent corrosion.
  • Do not use abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals.

Storage

  • Store the OpenSwim S700 in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Avoid storing with heavy objects that could deform the neckband.

Water Exposure Guidelines

  • The device is rated IP68, meaning it can be submerged in fresh water up to 2 meters for up to 2 hours.
