1. Introduction

2. Important Safety Information

To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, or injury when using your ice maker, follow these basic safety precautions:

  • Read all instructions before use.
  • Do not touch the evaporator or ice basket when the unit is operating.
  • Do not immerse the appliance, power cord, or plug in water or other liquids.
  • Unplug the ice maker from the power outlet before cleaning or when not in use.
  • Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug, or after the appliance malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner.
  • Use only potable water for ice production.
  • Ensure the ice maker is placed on a stable, level surface away from direct sunlight or heat sources.
  • Keep children away from the ice maker during operation.

4. Setup

4.1 Unpacking and Placement

  1. Remove all packaging materials and tape.
  2. Place the ice maker on a flat, stable, and level surface. Ensure there is adequate ventilation around the unit (at least 5 inches of space on all sides).
  3. Allow the unit to stand upright for at least 2 hours before plugging it in, especially if it was transported horizontally. This allows the refrigerant to settle.

4.2 Water Filling

Your Aeitto ice maker supports two methods for water refilling: manual and automatic.

Manual Water Refill:

  1. Open the top lid of the ice maker.
  2. Carefully pour potable water into the water reservoir, ensuring not to exceed the MAX water level line.
  3. Close the lid securely.

Automatic Water Refill:

  1. Ensure the drain plug is securely plugged.
  2. Connect a water supply line (not included) to the designated water inlet port at the back of the unit. Refer to the diagram in the manual for the exact location.
  3. Once connected, the ice maker will automatically draw water as needed, eliminating the need for manual refilling.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Control Panel Overview

  • POWER Button: Turns the unit On/Off.
  • SOFT ICE Button: Initiates the ice-making cycle for soft nugget ice.
  • CLEAN Button: Press and hold for 3 seconds to activate the self-cleaning function.
  • POWER Indicator: Illuminates when the unit is powered on.
  • ADD WATER Indicator: Illuminates when the water reservoir needs refilling.
  • ICE FULL Indicator: Illuminates when the ice basket is full.

5.2 Making Ice

  1. Ensure the ice basket is properly placed inside the unit.
  2. Fill the water reservoir (manual or automatic refill).
  3. Press the POWER button to turn on the ice maker. The POWER indicator will light up.
  4. Press the SOFT ICE button to begin the ice production cycle.
  5. The first batch of ice typically takes about 5 minutes. Subsequent batches will be produced continuously until the ice basket is full or the water level is low.

5.3 Understanding Nugget Ice

Nugget ice, also known as chewable ice, is softer and more porous than traditional cube ice. This makes it ideal for beverages as it absorbs flavors better and is gentler on teeth.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Self-Cleaning Function

The ice maker features an automatic self-cleaning function to help maintain hygiene and prevent mineral buildup.

  1. Ensure there is water in the reservoir.
  2. Press and hold the CLEAN button for 3 seconds. The unit will begin a cleaning cycle, circulating water through its internal components.
  3. Once the cleaning cycle is complete, drain the water from the unit using the drain plug located at the bottom.

6.2 Regular Cleaning and Care

  • Exterior: Wipe the exterior with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
  • Interior: Periodically clean the water reservoir and ice basket with a mild detergent and warm water. Rinse thoroughly.
  • Drainage: Regularly drain any remaining water from the reservoir using the drain plug to prevent stagnant water and mineral buildup.
  • Storage: If storing the ice maker for an extended period, ensure it is completely dry. Store it in a cool, dry place.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your ice maker, please refer to the following common problems and solutions:
