3.1 Key Features

4. Setup

4.1 Powering the Radio

The PRUNUS J-555 offers two power options: the internal rechargeable lithium battery and external AAA batteries.

4.1.1 Using the Internal Rechargeable Battery

Connect the included USB-C charging cable to the radio's USB-C port and to a USB power source (e.g., wall adapter, computer USB port). The "CHGR" indicator light will illuminate during charging and turn off when fully charged.

4.1.2 Using AAA Batteries

Open the battery compartment on the back of the radio. Insert two (2) AAA batteries (not included), ensuring correct polarity. Locate the power selector switch inside the battery compartment and slide it to the "AAA Battery" position.

4.2 Initial Use

Before first use, it is recommended to fully charge the internal battery. Extend the telescopic antenna for optimal FM reception.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Turning On/Off and Mode Selection

Use the "OFF/FM/AM" switch located on the side of the radio to turn the unit on and select your desired band (FM or AM).

5.2 Tuning to a Station

Once the radio is on, rotate the "Tuning Knob" on the side to scan through frequencies. The "TUNE" indicator light will illuminate when a strong signal is detected, indicating a clear station.

5.3 Adjusting Volume

Use the "Volume Knob" on the side to increase or decrease the audio output.

5.4 Using the Headphone Jack

For private listening, plug any standard 3.5mm headphones into the headphone jack located on the side of the radio. The internal speaker will automatically mute when headphones are connected.

5.5 Using the Flashlight

The radio features a built-in flashlight. Locate the "Flashlight Switch" on the side of the radio and slide it to turn the flashlight on or off.

6. Maintenance

• Keep the radio dry. Avoid exposure to rain, moisture, or extreme temperatures.
• Clean the radio with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
