5. Setup
5.1. Battery Installation
- Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of the radio.
- Slide the cover open.
- Insert 2 x AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the compartment.
- Close the battery compartment cover securely.
Note: Batteries are not included and must be purchased separately.
6. Operating
6.1. Turning On/Off and Selecting Band
- Slide the AM/FM/OFF switch to either 'AM' or 'FM' to turn on the radio and select your desired band.
- To turn off the radio, slide the switch to 'OFF'.
6.2. Tuning to a Station
- For FM reception, extend the telescopic antenna fully for optimal signal.
- Slowly rotate the Tuning thumbwheel until you find your desired station. The analog dial will indicate the frequency.
- Adjust the Volume thumbwheel to your preferred listening level.

6.3. Using Headphones
To listen privately, plug any standard 3.5mm headphones into the headphone port located on the side of the radio. The internal speaker will automatically mute.
7. Maintenance
- Clean the radio with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- If the radio will not be used for an extended period, remove the batteries to prevent leakage.
- Keep the telescopic antenna clean and free from obstruction.
8. Troubleshooting
- No Power: Check if batteries are inserted correctly and are not depleted. Replace if necessary. Ensure the AM/FM/OFF switch is not in the 'OFF' position.
- Poor Reception: Extend the telescopic antenna fully for FM. For AM, try rotating the radio for better signal. Move away from electronic devices that may cause interference.
- No Sound: Check the volume level. Ensure headphones are not plugged in if you intend to use the speaker.
