Setup

1. Assembling the Monitor Stand

  1. Carefully remove the monitor and stand components from the packaging.
  2. Attach the stand neck to the monitor panel. Ensure it clicks securely into place.
  3. Attach the stand base to the stand neck. Tighten any screws if provided.

2. Connecting Cables

The HP Series 5 527sf Monitor offers multiple connectivity options. Refer to the rear view of the monitor for port locations.

  • Power Connection: Connect the power adapter to the monitor's power input, then plug the AC power cord into a wall outlet.
  • HDMI Connection: Use the provided HDMI cable to connect your computer's HDMI output to one of the monitor's HDMI ports (HDMI 1 or HDMI 2).
  • VGA Connection: If your computer uses VGA, connect a VGA cable from your computer's VGA output to the monitor's VGA port.

3. Initial Power-On

  1. Press the power button on the monitor.
  2. Turn on your computer. The monitor should automatically detect the input signal.

Monitor Controls

Adjusting Display Settings

Use the OSD menu to customize your viewing experience:

  • Input Selection: Manually switch between HDMI 1, HDMI 2, and VGA inputs if auto-detection fails.

Tilt Adjustment

The monitor stand allows for tilt adjustment from -5 to +25 degrees. Gently hold the top and bottom edges of the monitor panel and tilt it to your desired viewing angle. No buttons or levers are required for this adjustment.
