Product Overview

The roborock S8 Max Ultra with Auto Water Refilling and Drainage System is designed to provide a hands-free, efficient cleaning experience. It combines powerful vacuuming with advanced mopping capabilities, intelligent navigation, and comprehensive self-maintenance features.

Setup and Installation

Installation Requirements

Proper placement of the dock is crucial for optimal performance. Ensure the following conditions are met:

• Reserve a space of at least 30.5cm (1.0ft) in height, 42cm (1.4ft) in width, and 100cm (3.3ft) in depth.
• The dock should be placed against a wall on a hard and even floor (wood, tile, concrete, etc.). Avoid placing it on soft surfaces (carpet, mat, etc.) and in narrow areas.
• Ensure that the location has a strong WiFi signal for an optimal experience with the mobile app.
• The height difference at any point on the drainage pipeline from the ground is recommended not to exceed 50cm (1.6ft).
• The installation distance for the water refill and outlet pipes is recommended within 6 meters (19.7ft). If not, please contact customer service for consultation.
• Please avoid arranging pipes through doorways or corridors.
• Ensuring there are no thresholds, tracks, or steps higher than 2cm between the dock's installation site and the cleaning area to avoid the risk of getting stuck or missed cleaning.
• Before installation, please disconnect the power supply of the dock, and turn off the main water supply switch faucet switch, or angle valve switch in the house. Drain pipelines and ensure they are connected without leakage.

Auto Water Refilling and Drainage System

The S8 Max Ultra features an Auto Water Refilling and Drainage System, which automatically refills clean water and empties dirty water during mop washing and tank refilling. This provides a truly hands-free cleaning experience.

Troubleshooting

WiFi Connection Issues

Some users have reported difficulties connecting the robot vacuum to WiFi, particularly with combined 2.4GHz/5GHz networks. Ensure your home network supports 2.4GHz and, if necessary, split the bands to connect the robot to the 2.4GHz network manually. A strong WiFi signal at the dock's location is essential for optimal mobile app experience.

Error Codes and Obstructions

If the robot displays error codes, such as Error 56 related to the mop system, or stops due to obstructions, first check for any visible blockages in the mop module or main brushes. Ensure the cleaning area is clear of cables, small objects, and other clutter that could impede the robot's movement. Setting no-go zones in problematic areas via the app can prevent future issues.
