Setup & Installation

1. Charging the Keypad:

Before first use, fully charge the keypad using the provided USB Type-C cable. Connect the cable to the keypad's USB-C port and a power source (e.g., computer USB port, USB wall adapter). The charging indicator will show the charging status.

2. Connecting the Keypad:

The KZZI K20 offers three connection modes: 2.4GHz wireless, Bluetooth 5.0, and wired USB Type-C.

2.1. 2.4GHz Wireless Mode:

  1. Locate the 2.4GHz USB receiver, usually stored in a compartment on the keypad.
  2. Plug the USB receiver into an available USB port on your computer.
  3. Slide the mode switch on the side of the keypad to the "G" (2.4GHz) position.
  4. The keypad should automatically connect to your device.

2.2. Bluetooth 5.0 Mode:

  1. Slide the mode switch on the side of the keypad to the "B" (Bluetooth) position.
  2. On your device (computer, tablet, smartphone), open Bluetooth settings.
  3. Press and hold the FN + 1 (or 2, 3) keys on the keypad for 3-5 seconds until the indicator light flashes rapidly, indicating pairing mode.
  4. Select "KZZI K20" from the list of available Bluetooth devices on your screen to pair.
  5. You can pair up to three different devices and switch between them using FN + 1, FN + 2, or FN + 3.

2.3. Wired Mode:

  1. Connect the USB Type-C cable directly from the keypad to your computer's USB port.
  2. The keypad will automatically switch to wired mode and begin charging.

The K20 keypad features standard numeric keys (0-9), arithmetic operators (+, -, *, /), Enter, and Backspace. The NUM key toggles the numeric lock function.

1. Hot-Swappable Switches:

The K20 keypad supports hot-swappable 3-pin and 5-pin mechanical switches. This allows you to easily change switches without soldering, customizing your typing feel.

  1. Use the provided switch puller to carefully remove the existing switch.
  2. Align the pins of the new switch with the sockets on the PCB.
  3. Gently press the new switch into place until it clicks. Ensure it is seated properly to avoid bent pins.
