Proper cuff placement is crucial for accurate readings. The cuff is designed for arm circumferences between 22-42 CM (8.7-16.5 inches).

  1. Ensure you are seated comfortably with your feet flat on the floor and your arm resting on a table at heart level.
  2. Slide your left arm through the cuff loop. The bottom edge of the cuff should be positioned approximately 1 to 2 cm (0.4 to 0.8 inches) above your elbow joint.
  3. The display of the monitor should face upwards, centered on the inside of your arm.
  4. Tighten the cuff snugly around your arm. It should be firm enough so that you can barely slide two fingers underneath it.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Taking a Measurement

  1. Prepare for Measurement: Sit quietly for at least 5 minutes before taking a measurement. Avoid eating, drinking caffeine, smoking, or exercising for 30 minutes prior. Ensure you are in a relaxed posture, sitting upright with your back supported and feet flat on the floor. Do not move or talk during the measurement.
  2. Power On: Press the ON/OFF button to turn on the monitor. The display will light up.
  3. Start Measurement: The device will automatically begin inflation and measurement after a brief self-check. The cuff will inflate, and then slowly deflate as your blood pressure is measured.
  4. View Results: Once the measurement is complete, your systolic pressure (SYS), diastolic pressure (DIA), and pulse rate (PUL/min) will be displayed on the large screen. The WHO color risk indicator will also illuminate, providing a quick visual assessment of your blood pressure level.
  5. Voice Feedback: The monitor will provide voice feedback of your readings, following WHO guidelines.
  6. Irregular Heartbeat Detection: If an irregular heartbeat is detected, a corresponding symbol will appear on the display. Consult your physician if this symbol appears frequently.
  7. Automatic Shutdown: The device will automatically shut down after approximately 1 minute of inactivity to conserve power.
Three steps for blood pressure measurement: 1. Tie the cuff 1 to 2cm above the elbow joint. 2. Sit correctly, don't move during the measurement. 3. Connect APP via Bluetooth, press the button to measure.

Cuff does not inflate or inflates too little/much. Cuff not properly connected or air leakage; cuff size mismatch. Ensure cuff is securely attached. Verify arm circumference is within 22-42 CM range.
Bluetooth connection issues / App not finding device. Bluetooth off on phone; device not in pairing mode; app not installed correctly. Ensure phone's Bluetooth is on. Turn monitor off and on to re-enter pairing mode. Reinstall JOYTECH app. Ensure no other devices are interfering.
