6.3 Hardware Assembly and Door Installation
Follow these steps to install your bi-fold doors:
- Attach Hinges to Door Panels: Lay the two door panels flat. Attach the provided hinges to connect the two panels. Ensure correct alignment and secure all screws.
- Install Bottom Pivot Bracket: Measure and mark the position for the bottom pivot bracket on the floor or door frame, typically 1 inch from the jamb. Secure the bracket with screws.
- Install Top Track: Secure the top track to the inside of the door frame header using appropriate screws. Ensure the track is level and centered within the opening.
- Attach Top Pivot and Guide Wheel: Install the top pivot pin and guide wheel assembly to the top edge of the inner door panel, as per the hardware instructions.
- Position Doors: Carefully lift the assembled door panels. Insert the bottom pivot pin into the floor bracket. Then, compress the top pivot pin and guide wheel, guiding them into the top track. Release the top pivot pin into its designated hole in the track.
- Adjust Doors: Adjust the top and bottom pivots to ensure the doors hang plumb and operate smoothly. The concealed hardware allows for fine-tuning.
- Install Door Handle: Attach the door handle to the leading edge of the outer door panel at a comfortable height.

8. Maintenance
Regular maintenance will ensure the longevity and smooth operation of your EaseLife Bi-Fold Doors.
- Cleaning: The PVC surface is waterproof and easy to clean. Use a soft, damp cloth with mild soap and water to wipe down the door panels. Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals that could damage the finish.
- Hardware Check: Periodically inspect all hardware components, including hinges, pivots, and the top track, for any signs of wear or loosening. Tighten screws as needed.
- Lubrication: If the doors begin to stick or operate roughly, apply a silicone-based lubricant to the top track and pivot points.
- Glass Care: Clean the frosted glass panels with a standard glass cleaner and a soft cloth.
