Front Panel Controls and Display

  • Display: Shows current mode, track information, and radio frequency.
  • Power Button: Turns the unit on or off.
  • Mode Button: Cycles through input sources (CD, FM, Bluetooth, AUX, USB).
  • Volume Knob: Adjusts the master volume.
  • Play/Pause Button: Controls playback for CD, USB, and Bluetooth.
  • Skip/Tune Buttons: Navigates tracks or tunes radio frequencies.
  • AUX In Port: For connecting external audio devices via a 3.5mm cable.

Rear Panel Connections

The rear panel includes connections for speakers and power.

Setup

1. Connecting the Speakers

Connect the included speakers to the speaker terminals on the rear of the main unit. Ensure correct polarity (red to red, black to black) for optimal sound quality.

2. Power Connection

Plug the power cable into the AC inlet on the rear of the main unit, then plug the other end into a standard wall outlet.

Operating Instructions

Power On/Off

Press the Power button on the front panel or remote control to turn the unit on or off.

Mode Selection

Press the Mode button on the front panel or remote control repeatedly to cycle through the available input sources: CD, FM Radio, Bluetooth, AUX, and USB.

Bluetooth Operation

  1. Select Bluetooth mode using the Mode button. The display will show 'BLUETOOTH' and the unit will enter pairing mode.
  2. On your smartphone or other Bluetooth device, enable Bluetooth and search for available devices.
  3. Select 'OAKCASTLE HIFI150' from the list. Once connected, the unit will confirm the connection.
  4. You can now stream audio wirelessly from your device to the HIFI150.

CD Playback

  1. Open the CD compartment cover.
  2. Place a CD (MP3, CD, WMA, or CD-R format) onto the spindle with the label side facing up.
  3. Close the CD compartment cover.
  4. Select CD mode. The unit will read the disc and begin playback automatically.
  5. Use the Play/Pause and Skip buttons to control playback.

  1. Select FM Radio mode.
  2. Extend the telescopic antenna for better reception.
  3. Auto Scan: Press and hold the Play/Pause button to automatically scan and save available FM stations (up to 30 presets).
  4. Manual Tuning: Use the Skip/Tune buttons to manually adjust the frequency.
  5. Recall Presets: Use the 'FAV/PROG' button on the remote to cycle through saved stations.

USB Playback

  1. Insert a USB drive into the USB port on the front panel.
  2. Select USB mode. The unit will automatically detect and begin playing compatible audio files (MP3, WMA).
  3. Use the Play/Pause and Skip buttons to control playback.

AUX Input

  1. Connect an external audio device (e.g., MP3 player, smartphone) to the AUX In port on the front panel using a 3.5mm audio cable (not included).
  2. Select AUX mode.
  3. Control playback from your connected external device.

Volume Control

Rotate the Volume Knob on the front panel or use the VOL+/- buttons on the remote control to adjust the sound level.

Remote Control Usage

The included remote control provides full functionality for the HIFI150. Ensure batteries are correctly inserted. Point the remote control towards the front panel of the main unit for optimal response.

Maintenance

Cleaning

  • Wipe the unit with a soft, dry cloth.
  • Do not use abrasive cleaners, waxes, or solvents as they may damage the finish.

Storage

If the unit is not used for an extended period, unplug it from the power outlet and store it in a cool, dry place.
