Ultrak L20 Multi-Lane Timer (10 Button Set) Instruction Manual

Introduction

The Ultrak L20 10 Button Set represents the next generation of multi-lane timers, building upon the functionality of the popular Ultrak L10. This device features an updated printer module and a new case design, while maintaining the same operational principles as its predecessor. The Ultrak L20 is engineered for precise timing in various athletic events, supporting up to 10 lanes for track races and accommodating up to 8,000 participants in road races such as cross country, 10K's, and marathons.

A key feature is the included linkgate, which centralizes the connection of the ten lane buttons to a single unit, thereby minimizing cable clutter. The system allows for pre-assignment of four-digit bib numbers to lanes in track mode and manual entry at the finish line for road races. Event data can be uploaded to a PC or printed directly during or after an event for comprehensive review. The Ultrak L20 is compatible with leading timing software including Hy-Tek, RunScore, and Easy Meet Manager. This set includes 10 lane buttons for immediate use.

Setup

Before initial use, ensure the internal rechargeable battery is fully charged using the provided USB cable. Connect the USB cable to the timer and a compatible USB power source. The timer can also be powered via USB during operation.

To prepare for an event, connect the ten lane buttons to the linkgate. The linkgate then connects to the main Ultrak L20 timer unit via a single cable, simplifying the setup and reducing the number of wires directly attached to the timer.
