5. Setup and Installation
The Aquastrong condensate pump features a mini split design with anti-vibration velcro strips, allowing for flexible installation in various locations such as line set covers, wall cassettes, or above ceilings. Follow these steps for proper setup:
- Positioning: Place the main pump and reservoir horizontally on a flat, stable surface indoors. Ensure the magnet on the reservoir faces upward.
- Inlet Connection: Connect the 3/5'' O.D. inlet of the reservoir to your HVAC unit's condensate drain. The package includes a 3/5'' I.D. silicone tube and a 4/5'' I.D. adapter for compatibility.
- Outlet Connection: Attach appropriate vinyl tubing (1/4'' to 3/8'' I.D.) to the 3/10'' O.D. barbed outlet. Ensure the outlet pipe is routed to a suitable drain location and is positioned higher than the reservoir to prevent backflow or siphoning.
- Sensor and Power Connection: Connect the sensor cable and the 6-pin power cable to the pump.
- Breather Tube: Install the breather tube to the vent port on the reservoir cap before use.
- Power Supply: Plug the 3.3ft UL power cord into a standard 115V/230V electrical outlet.
- Secure Mounting: Utilize the provided velcro strips to firmly attach the main pump and reservoir, minimizing vibration and ensuring stability.
Note: Inlet/Outlet drains (tubing) are not included and need to be purchased separately.

6. Operation
The Aquastrong condensate pump operates automatically, utilizing a reliable hall switch to detect water levels in the reservoir. When the water level rises, the pump automatically activates to drain the condensate. It stops when the water level is low, ensuring efficient and quiet operation.
- Automatic Start/Stop: The built-in sensitive hall switch automatically starts the pump when the water level in the tank rises and stops at a low level.
- Ultra-Silent Operation: Designed for quiet performance, the pump operates at approximately 20 dB, making it suitable for living rooms or bedrooms.
- Hi-level Safety Switch: Signal lead wires are provided for connection to HVAC appliances or alarms. If the sensor detects high water levels, the safety switch will trigger to automatically shut off the appliance (using NC & COM wires) or activate an alarm (using NO & COM wires) to prevent overflow.
- Thermal Overload Protection: The pump is equipped with thermal protection. If operation with insufficient water causes abnormally high temperatures, the thermal protection will be triggered, and the pump will automatically shut off to prevent damage.

7. Maintenance
Regular maintenance is crucial for the longevity and optimal performance of your Aquastrong condensate pump. It is necessary to clean the reservoir, float, and filter at least every six months to prevent clogging and ensure continuous operation.
- Cleaning Frequency: Clean the reservoir, float, and filter at least every six months.
- Removable Filter: The metal inlet filter is removable, making it easy to clean out large debris and prevent clogging.
- Visible Tank: The visible tank design allows for easy observation of internal conditions, facilitating timely cleaning.
