Setup and Assembly
Assembly of your SOFTSEA platform bed is required. It is recommended that two adults perform the assembly, which typically takes less than one hour. All necessary tools are included in the package.
Before You Begin:
- Unpack all components and lay them out on a clean, soft surface (e.g., a carpet or blanket) to prevent scratches.
- Verify that all parts and hardware listed in the packing list are present. If any parts are missing or damaged, do not proceed with assembly. Contact customer support.
- Keep children and pets away from the assembly area.
Assembly Steps:
- Attach Headboard and Footboard to Side Rails: Secure the headboard and footboard panels to the main bed's side rails using the provided bolts and washers. Ensure all connections are firm but do not overtighten until all major components are aligned.
- Install Main Bed Slats: Place the wooden slats across the main bed frame. Secure them to the side rails according to the pre-drilled holes. Ensure even spacing for optimal mattress support.
- Assemble Trundle Frame: Assemble the trundle bed frame by connecting its side panels and end panels. Attach the wheels to the bottom of the trundle frame.
- Install Trundle Slats: Place the wooden slats into the trundle frame, securing them as instructed.
- Final Tightening: Once all components are assembled and aligned, carefully tighten all bolts and screws. Do not overtighten to avoid damaging the wood.

Operating Instructions
Main Bed Usage:
- Place a twin-size mattress directly onto the main bed slats. A spring box is not required.
- Ensure the mattress thickness is appropriate for the bed frame.
Trundle Bed Usage:
- The trundle bed is designed to slide smoothly underneath the main bed when not in use.
- To use, gently pull the trundle unit out from under the main bed. The trundle can be pulled out from either side of the main bed.
- Place a twin-size mattress on the trundle slats. The recommended mattress thickness for the trundle is 6 inches to allow it to slide back under the main bed easily.
- To store, remove any bedding that might obstruct its movement and gently push the trundle back under the main bed until it is fully recessed.

Maintenance and Care
Proper care will extend the life and appearance of your SOFTSEA bed frame.
- Cleaning: Wipe the wood surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, or polishes that may damage the finish.
- Tighten Hardware: Periodically check all bolts and screws to ensure they remain tight. Retighten as necessary to maintain stability and prevent squeaking. Do not overtighten.
- Avoid Excessive Weight: Do not exceed the recommended weight capacity for the bed and trundle.
- Protect from Elements: Keep the bed away from direct sunlight and extreme temperature changes to prevent wood warping or fading.

Troubleshooting
If you encounter any issues with your bed frame, refer to the following common solutions:
- Squeaking Noises: Squeaking often indicates loose hardware. Check and tighten all bolts and screws. Ensure the slats are properly seated and secured.
- Trundle Not Sliding Smoothly: Check for any obstructions under the main bed or in the trundle's path. Ensure the trundle wheels are clean and free of debris. Verify that the trundle mattress is not too thick (recommended 6 inches).
- Instability/Wobbling: Ensure all assembly steps were followed correctly and all hardware is securely tightened. Check that the bed is placed on a flat, even surface.
- Damaged Parts: If any part is damaged during shipping or assembly, do not attempt to repair it yourself. Contact customer support for replacement parts.
