- Ensure your power supply is disconnected from the wall outlet.
- Gather all necessary components: CPU, CPU cooler, RAM, graphics card, storage devices, and PC case.
- Refer to your CPU and cooler manuals for specific installation instructions.
3.2. Motherboard Installation Steps
- Install the CPU: Carefully open the CPU socket lever. Align the triangular mark on the CPU with the mark on the socket. Gently place the CPU into the socket without forcing it. Close the lever to secure the CPU.
- Install the CPU Cooler: Follow the cooler manufacturer's instructions to install the CPU cooler onto the motherboard. Ensure proper thermal paste application.
- Install RAM Modules: Open the clips on both ends of the DDR5 DIMM slots. Align the notch on the RAM module with the key in the slot. Press down firmly on both ends until the clips snap into place. For dual-channel operation, refer to the motherboard manual for recommended slot configurations.
- Install M.2 SSDs: Locate the M.2 slots on the motherboard. Remove the M.2 heatsink if present. Insert the M.2 SSD into the slot at an angle, then gently push it down. Secure it with the provided M.2 screw or EZ M.2 clip. Reattach the heatsink if applicable.
- Mount Motherboard in Case: Install the standoffs in your PC case according to the ATX form factor. Carefully place the motherboard into the case, aligning the screw holes with the standoffs. Secure the motherboard with screws.
- Install Graphics Card (GPU): Open the PCIe slot latch. Insert your graphics card firmly into the primary PCIe 5.0 x16 slot until it clicks into place. Secure the card to the case with screws.
- Connect Power Cables: Connect the 24-pin ATX main power connector and the 8-pin (or 4+4-pin) CPU power connector from your power supply to the corresponding ports on the motherboard. Connect power to your graphics card if required.
- Connect Front Panel Cables: Connect the power button, reset button, HDD LED, and power LED cables from your case to the front panel header pins on the motherboard. Refer to the motherboard manual for the exact pin layout.
- Connect USB and Audio Cables: Connect the case's USB 2.0, USB 3.0, and front panel audio cables to their respective headers on the motherboard.
- Connect Storage Devices: Connect SATA data cables from your storage drives (HDDs/SSDs) to the SATA ports on the motherboard. Connect power cables from your power supply to these drives.
- Install Wi-Fi Antenna: Screw the included Wi-Fi antenna onto the designated connectors on the rear I/O panel.
