1. Introduction

The Canarm Rexton 3-Light Track Light is a versatile lighting fixture designed for both ceiling and wall mounting. It features three adjustable heads, allowing for directional illumination in various indoor spaces such as kitchens, hallways, bedrooms, and living rooms. This fixture is compatible with 50W GU10 bulbs (sold separately) and offers an Easy Connect installation system for straightforward setup.

2. Safety Information

WARNING: Risk of electric shock. Disconnect power at the fuse box or circuit breaker before installation, servicing, or bulb replacement. Consult a qualified electrician if you are unsure about the installation process.

• Ensure all electrical connections are in accordance with local codes and ordinances.
• Do not exceed the maximum wattage of 50W per GU10 bulb.
• This fixture is designed for indoor use only.
• Do not attempt to modify the fixture. Any modifications may void the warranty and create a safety hazard.

5. Setup (Installation)

Follow these steps carefully to install your track light fixture.

1. Prepare for Installation: Turn off power at the main circuit breaker or fuse box to avoid electrical shock. Ensure the mounting surface is clean, dry, and structurally sound to support the fixture's weight.
2. Attach Mounting Bracket: Secure the mounting bracket to the junction box using the screws provided. Ensure the bracket is firmly attached and level.
3. Wire Connections: Carefully connect the fixture's wires to the corresponding household wires.
   • Connect the white fixture wire to the neutral (white) supply wire.
   • Connect the black fixture wire to the hot (black) supply wire.
   • Connect the ground wire (bare copper or green) from the fixture to the ground wire from the junction box.
   Use wire nuts to secure all connections, ensuring no bare wire is exposed.
4. Mount Fixture: Carefully align the fixture base with the mounting bracket and secure it with the provided screws. Ensure the fixture is flush against the ceiling or wall.
5. Install Bulbs: Insert three GU10 bulbs (sold separately) into the sockets. Gently push and twist each bulb clockwise until it is securely seated. Do not overtighten.
6. Restore Power: Once installation is complete and all connections are secure, turn the power back on at the circuit breaker.

6. Operating Instructions

Once installed and powered, the track light can be operated using a standard wall switch. If a compatible dimmer switch is installed and dimmable GU10 bulbs are used, the light intensity can be adjusted.

Adjusting Light Heads: Each of the three light heads can be independently rotated and tilted to direct light as desired. Gently grasp the light head and pivot it to achieve the desired illumination angle.

7. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your fixture.

• Cleaning: Disconnect power before cleaning. Wipe the fixture with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or polishes as they may damage the finish.
• Bulb Replacement: Disconnect power at the circuit breaker. Allow bulbs to cool completely before handling. Gently twist and pull out the old GU10 bulb. Insert a new GU10 bulb by aligning the pins and twisting clockwise to secure. Ensure the replacement bulb does not exceed 50W.

8. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your track light, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

• Light does not turn on:
  • Check if the power is on at the circuit breaker.
  • Ensure bulbs are correctly installed and not faulty. Test with a known working bulb.
  • Verify all wire connections are secure and properly insulated.
• Light flickers:
  • Ensure bulbs are fully seated in their sockets.
  • Check for loose wire connections.
  • If using a dimmer, ensure it is compatible with GU10 bulbs and that the bulbs themselves are dimmable. Incompatible dimmers or bulbs can cause flickering.
• Light heads are difficult to adjust:
  • Ensure no debris is obstructing the movement. Do not force adjustment.
