4. Setup and Installation
4.1 Charging the Doorbell Host
Before initial use, fully charge the Video Doorbell Host using the provided USB charging cable. Connect the cable to the doorbell's charging port and a standard USB power adapter (not included). The LED indicator will show charging status.
4.2 App Download and Pairing
- Download the dedicated mobile application (APP) from your smartphone's app store. Search for "ASHATA Smart" or refer to the QR code in the quick start guide (if provided separately).

4.4 Doorbell Installation
The doorbell can be installed using either double-sided tape or screws for a more secure mounting.
Option 1: Double-Sided Tape Installation
- Clean the desired installation surface thoroughly to ensure it is dry and free of dust or grease.
- Apply the provided double-sided tape to the back of the doorbell host.
- Press the doorbell firmly onto the chosen surface for at least 30 seconds.
Option 2: Screw Installation (Recommended for long-term security)
- Position the Hole Installation Panel on the wall at the desired height.
- Mark the screw holes through the panel.
- Drill pilot holes at the marked locations. Insert the wall plugs into the drilled holes.
- Secure the Hole Installation Panel to the wall using the provided screws.
- Attach the doorbell host to the installed panel, ensuring it clicks securely into place.

When a visitor presses the doorbell, your smartphone will receive a push notification. Tap the notification to enter the video call interface and view the live feed from the doorbell camera. You can then choose to answer or ignore the call.
