Setup

1. Mounting the Scope

Your UTG 1-8x28mm Compact Scope comes with high-quality ACCU-SYNC Picatinny/Weaver rings for secure attachment to your firearm. Ensure the rings are properly aligned and tightened according to your firearm's specifications to prevent movement and maintain zero.

• Attach the included rings to your Picatinny or Weaver rail.
• Place the scope into the rings, ensuring proper eye relief for your shooting position.

2. Battery Installation for Illumination

The EZ-TAP Illumination System requires a CR2032 3V battery. Locate the battery compartment, typically on the side turret. Unscrew the cap, insert the battery with the positive (+) side facing outwards, and securely replace the cap.

Operating Instructions

1. Magnification Adjustment

The scope features a variable magnification range from 1x to 8x. Rotate the magnification ring, located near the eyepiece, to adjust the desired power. Ensure a clear sight picture at your chosen magnification.

2. Diopter Adjustment

The diopter adjustment ring, located on the eyepiece, allows you to fine-tune the reticle focus to your individual eyesight. Look through the scope at a plain background (like a clear sky) and rotate the diopter ring until the reticle appears sharp and clear.

3. EZ-TAP Illumination System

The EZ-TAP Illumination System offers 36 color options and a red/green dual-color mode. Use the two soft control buttons on the illumination turret to activate and adjust the reticle illumination.

4. Windage and Elevation Adjustment (Target Turrets)

Adjust the SWAT until the target and reticle appear to be in the same focal plane, eliminating parallax error.

6. BG4 Glass Reticle

The scope is equipped with a BG4 glass reticle, featuring ballistic drop compensation and rangefinder markings out to 600 yards. This reticle is designed for common 5.56/.223 loadings in modern sporting rifles, aiding in accurate shot placement at various distances.

Maintenance

1. Cleaning the Lenses

Use a soft, lint-free cloth or a lens brush to remove dust and loose debris from the lenses.
